Details on Gary’s Camp: The camp is just miles away from modern conveniences of downtown Manchester and Augusta, Maine yet completely secluded from other homes and roadways. The upstairs loft area sleeps 4 people (4 twin beds, linens not included). Additionally, the sofa in the downstairs living area pulls out as a full-size bed. The camp is wired up for electricity by use of a portable generator full of fuel (no additional fee). For extended stays, guests may need to refill fuel at the nearby service station just 2 miles away. The camp has an outhouse just steps away. A cozy woodstove is located in the downstairs living area and ample firewood is provided.
PLEASE NOTE: Gary’s Camp is truly an off grid “glamping” adventure. The camp has no running water (bottled water is provided), no refrigerator (it’s a good idea to bring a cooler), and no access to indoor stovetop cooking. The generator does power up small kitchen appliances (griddle, coffee maker, and toaster on site).
