Great space to call home for a bit
MaryAnn is a fabulous host. She was very accommodating and everything was just as described. (Be sure to read the details: potable water available to fill the RV fresh tank, but no continuous water line and no sewage dumping, limited to 115V AC/15 amp electric, located on a busy road and there are neighbors nearby, fire pit and a great dog for company). Good flat ground for the RV and being able to pull-thru was helpful. We had the privilege to spend a little time with MaryAnn around a campfire and she graciously gave us a lot of insight and tips for the area regarding foods and places to visit. MaryAnn's hipcamp was the only RV site I could find this late in the season near Acadia but I would choose her site again on a future visit. We were happy to find her place and we had a great experience. Thank you MaryAnn! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in your space.

Great location!
MaryAnn was really nice and super helpful. The location was great! Rural enough to feel separated, but close enough to Acadia national park and Bar Harbor on the ocean, and Ellsworth if you need groceries or supplies. I will say I think the description was a little misleading because the photos and amenities weren’t exactly as described. The campsite is in her yard and just off of Highway one so we heard the cars driving all the time. It also says there is electric and water hook ups, but I had to get a converter to change my 30 amp in order to fit into a standard plug-in and the water was actually just to fill my tank not a hook up. Overall though I would recommend this place, just because it’s quiet and the dirt road it was on was great to walk my dogs. I would also recommend messaging the host ahead of time because the directions led me to the street, not the actual address, so I drove by the turn and had to turn around on the road.

There was a lotnof space to park our trailer, and easy access to pull through in an out. Mary Ann was very friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience!

Fantastic central location!
We had another great time on MaryAnn's land. The convenience is too much to pass up. This time we went further into Deer Isle, visited Schoodic Point, stopped by the Dyce Head lighthouse, and checked out Sedgwick. We had a couple excellent meals at Humblebee in Blue Hill and at a hidden gem of a tapas bar in Bucksport, as well as more baked goods from Sweet Cheeks. MaryAnn herself is a gift in my life both as an artist and a person, and I enjoy my conversations with her, learning about art and life in Maine. MaryAnn's land is definitely one of my Top 5 stops of the many Hipcamps we've visited!

Comfortable camping under the oaks
Wow! What an excellent, centralized location for exploring the area! We used MaryAnn's place as a springboard to visit all the coastal towns during our week-long stay. Being right on US Route 1 can be a little loud -- although we are accustomed to highway noise and use earplugs -- but the convenience of the campsite is worth it. MaryAnn is a gracious host and an artist who gives lessons at a very good price, so don't miss that opportunity, when you visit. We like it so much, we'll stop here again for a few days on the way back. Highly recommended!
