10 acres hosted by Sharessa G.
Folsom, established in 1904, is beautiful horse country with a history thick in the timber industry. The original part of our farm-house was built in the 1950's and the owner moved the house to Folsom in the 1970's. After the year 2000 some additions were added. It was once an Emu farm, then became a Polo Pony farm, and now it is our homestead. We are only an hour north of New Orleans, 10 miles from Bogue Chitto State park, and have a great coffee shop in town called The Giddy Up.
Learn more about this land:
We are a family farmstead and have a mini cow, emus, horses, llama, donkey, sheep, goats, chickens, dogs, and a pig named Millie. We have a small organic garden, and our land is 10 acres of pasture, with a few patches of trees. It is very private in a secluded horse farm neighborhood, on a very quiet, dead-end street that does not get much traffic. At night you can see all the stars as there is no light pollution. During the summer months the frogs, crickets, and light bugs are beautiful! We are only an hour north of New Orleans! If you are looking for hiking, tubing, swimming, biking, fishing or disc golf, Bogue Chitto State park is only 10 miles away. We have a great coffee shop in town, The Giddy Up.
