The host was very welcoming. The campsite was primitive, but they try to provide things needed. The farm animals were fun, and there were some yard games provided for entertainment. The shelter is a short easy hike away. We enjoyed being in a quiet isolated spot. The stars were beautiful. Oh, and the Halloween trail was awesome!!
It would be beneficial to have pictures of the campsites on the website, in order to better choose which one would be best. Just be aware that this is primitive camping.

Exceptional
We had a little miss hap with our camp site, but let me tell you, they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure my 82yo gram and I felt welcome and comfortable during out stay. When we got there (pretty late at that) we were greeted in the driveway by huge smiling friendly faces that make you feel like you’re going to a friend house. In the morning we were showed around and got to meet the many animals they have there! Jerry the turkey was the first to say hello to us in the morning! This is a very beautiful property, and talking with the owners they have so many wonderful plans on expanding the already wonderful options they offer! I can’t wait til go back and take my kids next summer! Amazing amazing amazin!

Relaxing and fun!
Staying at the farm was a pleasant and interesting experience. A variety of private, woodsy campsites that the host supplies with convenient amenities like bug spray, fire starter, garbage bags, etc. Those thoughtful touches made camping easy! There is so much to do a few steps away from your site! Hiking, visiting the animals, lawn games, etc. Walking the trails on the property was a treat (and a few tricks) as well. Be prepared for some “halloweeny” surprises along the way. Unfortunately, we were unable to get down to the rock shelter because we have a senior dog who couldn’t walk a short steep part in the trail. Even missing that we had a nice, relaxing stay. It is obvious that the hosts have put a lot of thought into developing a fun, family friendly getaway! Mandi was super friendly, and responsive to our needs! Thanks for a great stay!

Like Heaven in Kentucky!
Mandi was so sweet. She greeted us and took us down to the campsite immediately. The place is beautiful! (I snapped like 150 photos because I was so in awe!). The farm animals were friendly, and it was a great addition to our stay. It was amazing that we got to take our fur-baby, too! He loved it more than us, and it was safe for him. We stayed about four days with no issues. She was even kind enough to truck us down some firewood when we needed it! I will definitely be returning again for a family trip. Can't wait to show my parents this hidden gem! The coolest part was the hike through a rock bed to the river. We even saw an old Native American addition to the rock shelter (won't spoil it for ya!). Take your trip and Cheat the World!

Just do it!
Just go ahead and book a stay here. Beautiful grounds, very well kept, and an unbelievable view of the night sky! Mandi was very nice and her two pups are simply adorable hosts. Will definitely book again!
