Located 1 mile from the Red River Gorge in Pine Ridge KY between Mt. Parkway Exit 40 East and Exit 40 West and 8 miles to Natural Bridge State Park. The Kilns provides an area for rest and relaxation for those wanting to camp. while enjoying the outdoors. The KILNS got its name from large charcoal kilns that was a thriving family business in the late 50's early 60's. Although they are no longer functioning, they are part of our history. The camping area is nestled on a small family farm with 5 acres designated for PRIMATIVE Tent or Van Camping. The property is surrounded by beautiful woodlands and a lush green field, freshly manicured. It is easy access to Red River Gorge, Local Restaurants, General Stores all while secluded from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Come relax and enjoy, we look forward to seeing you! Kim was an above and beyond host! We were coming in late after hitting traffic, and she still met us to show us to our spot and she even started our fire for us. She gave us a great recommendation for Creation Falls, which ended up being one of our favorite sights. It was fun to chat with her about it when she stopped to check in that evening. I highly recommend that you book a stay here. I’m sure Kim will take great care of you too.

Everything was perfect as always…easy and simple. One of the few places I have camped that gives you free firewood..10/10 coming back forever

Kim and Scott were amazing host, made us feel so welcomed and were very attentive to all the tiny details you make the stay amazing. The property itself is also perfect and camping here was a great experience. 11/10 would recommend!

Great Spring Break Stay!!

Kimberly and her husband made our trip great!! She met us when we pulled in with a list of places to visit and to help us set up a fire. The camp site was so pretty with cool lights, a pond, and large fire pit. We will definitely be back :)

The Kilns

Our group had a great time! Scott welcomed us as we arrived and shared the location for our camp. We were given full access to firewood, which was very welcome and appreciated, considering the cool temperatures we experienced overnight. We would most certainly recommend and return for another trip!
