Learn more about this land: This is a beautiful 200 acre farm that has been in my family for over 100 years. My father (at age 93) still harvests hay on 100 of the acres twice annually. Primitive campsites range from soft and scenic rolling fields with mountainous backdrops to completely wooded areas with the wild Rockastle River within 1 mile from the property. Discover a rare campsite available between two cliffs that the Native Americans originally called home. It remains just as they found it. There is an easily accessible large flat cliff area perfect for multiple tents and campfires! However, if a little more comfort is your style, you can unplug and unwind in a two story cabin located on a beautiful and secluded 2 acre pond with a dock and pier that can be reserved for $85 nightly. I classify the Lakehouse Cabin as primitive glamping! Wildlife is present every single day! We are near two Wildlife management reserve areas and completely surrounded by the Daniel Boone National Forrest. Deer, turkey and so much more can be observed daily in their natural habitat. This is truly an amazing and rare gem right here in our beloved Bluegrass State! This is a beautiful 200 acre farm that has been in my family for over 100 years. Sunset Point
We stayed on Sunset point, which was absolutely gorgeous! It’s a bit of a hilly drive to the site but worth it. There is hiking access down to the river that we enjoyed. Bridgett is super accommodating and helpful! She and her pups brought us a nice bundle of firewood, and we enjoyed the private, amazing views!

We stayed at Sunset Point and it was amazing! Ground was relatively flat and we had plenty of space to set up our tents. The views were great and we understand why it's called Sunset Point! Bridgette was super helpful and even came to check on us the first night to make sure that we didn't need anything. We will be back!

Cozy and safe with a great view
Great spot and beautiful view. I really enjoyed camping right there on the farm. The goats kept me company and the dogs made me feel safe. Bridgett is so friendly and helpful. I even got to meet her father who is over 90! What a treat. One can feel the love on this family farm.

Daniel Boone National Forest
This was a very private and peaceful place. Met with host upon arrival. Host provided us with ideas and options for things we may want to check out. You do not see host again unless you need something. No other campers were around us during our stay. River was about a mile walk down from where we set up camp. Perfect litte area by the river to get in if you needed to cool off. Just remeber that what hikes down must then hike back up. The view from the tent was beautiful and peaceful every morning. We would love to see this place again in the fall. Perfect campsite, Excellent views, and a great host!!!

Peaceful
Bridgett's place was perfect for us! The solitude and seclusion were what we loved most. To top it off Bridgett and her family were super nice and we would totally return!
