A working horse farm with some wooded areas and lots of spots to pitch a tent or hammock. We have a friendly dog, and horses! We are on 20 acres. We are constantly improving our land. Close to Abraham Lincoln’s birthplace , Mcdougal Lake and the main square in Hodgenville which has cute little restaurants and places to walk During summer there are lots of wild blackberries to pick on the perimeter of the pasture (this is usually June-July only). We are bordered on woods so camping can be done in the trees as well or in our nice open area right as soon as you come up the drive. Outside our barn/house we have water and electric outlets as needed. In the open area or the woods there are several trees that can be used for a hammock as well. We do have a large fire pit and a ton of wood fires can be started as long as we are not under a burn ban if we are having a dry summer or fall. If you're on the bike trail, come inside and take a shower in our simple country home. We will have amenities for you and every day someone will be home from 9am-noon, and 6pm-9pm with more hours open on the weekend. If you let us know we can work around what time you will be arriving.Pitch a tent or hammock anywhere on the farm. The barn has plenty of 120 plugins and lighting. We have a large open area as you pull into the drive or wooded areas if you prefer (boundaries of our farm are marked by posts and/or pink flags so anywhere within these is cool) Take a shower from 9am-noon or 6-9pm any week day inside our farm house or if you are arriving a certain time just let me know and we will figure it out! Plenty of spots to throw up your hammock as well. We do have a fire pit that can be used as long as we are not under a county burn ban if we are having a dry summer/fall. We are a working horse farm so there we will most likely be around if you want to chat or company!
