Looking for a quiet peaceful camp on 212 acres in the Appalachians Mountains along side the Upper Cumberland River under a canopy of shade trees? We offer WIFI, hot showers, restrooms, kayaks, shuttle service, hiking trail, horse trail, wildlife stands, electric, water, easy access to the river, 130’ x 100’ covered pavilion, tent camping, cabins, RV sites, and much more. Whether you are looking for a unique swimming hole location, a place to go fishing, kayak access, hiking trails or just a quiet place to enjoy your morning cup of coffee, we promise you will not be disappointed. You may wish to lay in a hammock along the river or under our covered 100 x 130 pavilion. We also have a beautiful creek to explore, very secluded and off the beaten path with lots of wildlife to enjoy. In addition to our relaxing atmosphere, this camp will also give you and your loved ones an incredible view to enjoy throughout your stay. Only 15.0mi via KY-90W by vehicle or 14mi by kayak to Cumberland Falls State Park with many hiking trails. One of the oldest original homesteads in the area, for nearly 150 years this gem has been in the family. We have shared it with many people over the years and would love to share it with you! These beloved woods are the remaining part of the once vast, Patrick homestead-started soon after the Revolutionary War. Our family ties and our roots grow very deeply along this river and these woods-we've been born and raised here and continue to strive to be good stewards of these lands. Pristine woods, trails, river access, and more! Located in the heart of the Appalachian and on the bank of the Upper Cumberland River. A truly tranquil place to enjoy exclusively, or to use as a basecamp for the unlimited adventures possible in this scenic area. Welcome and enjoy!

River Shack Shelter
Quiet, enriching retreat. Perfect!
I love experiencing the changing seasons from a familiar place! There has been nothing more enjoyable lately than spending at least a few days here. I’ve been here multiple times and there continues to be more to explore. Sometimes my large family comes down and rents multiple cabins. Other times my dog and I enjoy more quiet time, a reading or writing retreat, do yoga by the river, or focusing on work projects…it’s very enjoyable from the river shelter. Good WiFi. This helps make it a versatile place to retreat, you can have total darkness at night backcountry, or cabin-life, with unique options in between those as well. Breakfast is amazing! The eggs and pork were from their farm, the best country biscuits and sausage gravy I’ve ever had. Patrick and Angelica are amazing hosts!! Caring for everyone’s safety, great services and considerations for guests, accommodating…good firewood, nice fire pits and grills ready for hot cooking.

Driftwood Cottage
An amazing stay!!
Angelica and Patrick were absolutely amazing host! They truly made us feel welcomed and they were so kind and helpful! It felt like they were just close, friendly neighbors of ours during our stay! They have a beautiful place on the Cumberland river, and our driftwood cottage stay was exactly what we were looking for! So peaceful and serene! Can't wait to go back!!

Riverside Primitive Camping
We loved the primitive riverside camping! It was exactly what we were looking for. It was very secluded and right on the river where we were able to put our kayak in and paddle around. We also had Patrick shuttle us up river for a 5 hour trip back to camp. Even with it being a holiday weekend we only saw one other group on that section of the river. Patrick and Angelica were great host even delivered firewood to our site. They were very kind welcoming host. We would definitely stay here again.
