Hones Pointe was established in 1988. It was built by four insurance agents to elude our sales managers in a unique natural setting. Over the years, we have planted many different varieties of trees and perennials to observe. Also evidence exists of this area being an Indian camp long ago as suggested by arrowheads and an old handmade rock wall.  Primitive camping where you can pick your own scenic spot. We will furnish picnic table, fire ring, garbage can, and charcoal grill during your campout. Welcome!

I stayed here last year as well and Steve did not disappoint this year either. Land and views were amazing this time I had time to check out the petting zoo too :)

Primitive Tent & Boondocking Sites
Very well kept boondocks/RV sights
HONES POINT !!!! HIPCAMP!! Well kept camping area. Boondocking and RV camping along with primitive camping. Porta potties on site. Firewood availabke on site foe a small fee. I think his step son makes money off the firewood. Very nice young man. Peace and solitude if you want it. RV sites are close to each other. Include water hook up, 50AMP, 30AMP, 20AMP services. No dump station available. Primitive campsites well maintained and they are in the woods. 2WD accessable. Pet friendly on a leash please. Looks like they have put a lot of work into the place. The trees are small in the RV sights as they were recently planted. In about 5 years he will have some nice shade trees in that area. Lots of activity area to keep kids busy. The hillbilly hot tub could use a little TLC, but maybe that because it’s not the busy season. Anyways, very nice place

Primitive Tent & Boondocking Sites
I didn’t end up staying. I was welcomed by a man living in a barn on the property. He seemed cordial and harmless, despite being drunk, for about an hour. When I told him I wanted to get to sleep he asked if I wanted to do something crazy that nobody would know about and grabbed my crotch! This person should NOT be allowed around the public.

RV Sites or Tents w/ power @ water
Site is ok, was only here one night here's the good, bad Good: Quite. So peaceful Owner greeted us and welcomed us. And said goodbye as we left. Nice playground for the kids Well lit, decorated well Sites are level. 😁 Bad: Down a one lane road, was trying to turn around (because no signs) when we found it. NO DUMP SITE😬😤😤😤 and web site doesn't say that anywhere 😕 don't like traveling with crap in the tanks!!!!!! No roads just an open field

Great campsites by the creek
Great camp sites by the creek. You can hear the other families around you but it's nothing that will keep you from sleeping or enjoying your time. Check in was a bit confusing as there was no one there to greet us, so we ended up just choosing a spot and making ourselves at home. We paid for the late checkout but I'm not sure this was necessary as no one was monitoring our arrival / departure times. Port a potties were clean each time we visited.
