Dragonfly Ranch camping with horses
I really liked the beautiful land and horses. There were several firepits around the pond to make a campfire. Highly recommend. 5 star in my book!

Dragonfly Ranch camping with horses
We camped out in the field and loved seeing the horses and dogs. The location was close to nice hikes and places to eat. Also, we didn’t see a single mosquito while camping, which we didn’t fully appreciate until camping elsewhere in the area.

We had a great time staying at the ranch. Both the sunset and sunrise were beautiful and the property had great views. Unfortunately, we didn't get to meet Tonya as she was under the weather, but her husband was able to explain to us how to open the gate onto the field. The horses weren't out while we were there at all, but we were able to see them inside their pen. The dogs on the property are super sweet and friendly but they definitely need vet care, they're covered in fleas and at least two of them have bloat. There was a family camping on the property near the water hole as well. We loved waking up to the sounds of all the neighboring farm animals. Overall we had a lovely time!

Deer Haven @ Dragonfly Ranch
Great location. Great host.
Awesome host. Good location but also private. Site could be cleaned up a little but it fit our needs perfectly. Host was very accommodating to helping my children learn to ride horses which was a highlight for them. Neighbors we saw were very friendly and location felt safe

Dragonfly Ranch camping with horses
Overall we had a great experience! The land is beautiful and we were instructed where to go upon arrival. No one else was camping near us so that was nice. The site is 45 minutes from Mammoth Cave. Unfortunately the horses were never out of their enclosure the duration of the trip. We were present at the campsite late Friday night, Saturday morning and mid afternoon to evening, and then Sunday morning. The dogs provided great company though. However, one of them seemed to have either mange or fleas that needs to be treated.

Stars and Doggies and Horses, Oh My
I had a great experience here with my family! I came out here with my two little girls to go camping under the stars and see some horses and got both in spades! Tonya is the epitome of southern charm, a great pleasure to chat with, and very helpful whenever I needed anything. We got to see and interact with the horses as much as we wanted as well as some cute pups who played with my girls, found a great spot to set up some hammocks to camp, and enjoyed some quiet nature respite. I would definitely come back here the next time I am camping in the area.
