We are just normal people who love where we live. We ride horses right on the road, and just move to the side when a vehicle comes. We do what we want, and are who we are. Our values include a very deep faith and church on Sunday morning. We were born and raised Catholic, and Catholic is what we’ll stay. We don’t care what religion you are, we’re all living for the same God regardless of the church we attend, or don’t attend for that matter! You’ll know exactly what type of people we are when you leave, and we hope you’ll be so glad you came. We’ll feel blessed to have you! Learn more about this land: Too often we find ourselves so busy and overwhelmed trying to fulfill the obligations on today’s schedule as we search for a pen to jot down tomorrow’s commitments. Take a break, we’ll offer you the experience your looking for. Maybe it’s just the sound of no sound. You wonder what it’s like to sip your coffee as you walk to the barn on a quiet morning to check on the horses? Bring the golf cart or Ranger if your not big on walking. It’s your time to spend, so spend it however you want. Calliman is operated by Allison, a wife and mother to five girls. Surrounding the exterior edges of the land are the homes of Brock and Jennifer and their three children, Allison’s mother and father, Billy and Susie the landowners of Calliman Stables, and Allison’s family of seven! The barn, located in the near center of the farm is home away from home everyday. Most times we’re at the barn to care for the horses, but sometimes we’re there to saddle up and ride the horses. We have plenty of room, so bring yours too if you have them. We will gladly show you around, but you may enjoy exploring the acreage and showing yourself around, and we completely respect that! Your gonna love it here, but you’ll have to leave it so that you’ll appreciate it when you come back!

Unique and private camping
My family and I loved camping here. Beautiful land. We camped down in the horse pasture which provided lots of privacy and the horses would come to visit us from time to time.

Calliman Stables Campgrounds
I stayed with my three grandkids and we had a fantastic experience, making exactly the kind of memories you always hope for. Allison and her beautiful family were kind, friendly and gracious hosts. It so happened, that evening Allison and her father where returning home with three, young, unbroken horses that needed to be unloaded and coaxed into their new home. I can’t decide which was more fun to watch. These two people with an obvious connection with horses, or all the children (theirs and mine) sitting in a group in the barn watching every move. My gkids connected with a piece of Americana few people experience anymore. The kids all played “feather duster” tag in the moonlight, herded kittens (4 or 5 of them) to their hearts content and got up close and personal with the horses. I connected with Allison’s father, a kind and interesting man and we spent a couple of hours talking one on one. If solitude and isolation is your preference, the area a quarter mile beyond the gravel drive to the barn is the paradise you’ve been looking. However I can’t imagine taking a motor coach down that hill and certainly not if there is rain in the forecast or recent past. But if you’re tent camping, got a class B or a small class C, get out and walk the hill first, then drive down the dirt road to the private campground of your dreams. I highly recommend and will return.
