We love animals, plants, art, and outdoor recreation and love sharing these things with people! We found the perfect little plot for all of these things we love. Nature, art, animals, and lots of space! The hilly, lush land is also known as the Bohemie Alps and it's quite a beautiful area tucked away in Iowa. Visit with the llamas, goats, peacocks, potbelly pigs and the horses and hike around the property or stay in for a quiet stay with a good book and enjoy all the sights and sounds. Lots of extra 'add ons' to enhance the experience! Semi wooded property with hiking trails, hammocks, aerial silks, campfire pit. 5 mi away is Otter Creek Lake, a recreational park for fishing, kayaking, swimming, etc. We have 2 kayaks available. So much to do! Also perfect to just relax, meditate, yoga, sleep...

Hobbit House on a Hill
l loved the Hobbit House on Jessica's land. It was a fun house to stay in. The grounds were pretty with a great hiking trail. It was fun to watch the animals. Jessica was a nice hostess. We'll be back.

Hobbit House on a Hill
The Hobbit House was a beautiful place to come and stay. The construction itself was a marvel! Loved hearing the animals from up on the hill. Surrounded by beautiful farmland, nature and peace! Highly recommended to anyone craving a calm getaway, a magical storybook abode, or just something off the beaten path and unexpected! This place will not disappoint!

Hobbit House on a Hill
This was the best weekend get-a-way experience of this sort I've had. The hosts (Jess and Jim) are so wonderful, the land and dwellings and experiences are magical....and the animals everywhere (and the way they are cared for) is like a magical real-life Charlotte's Web experience. We loved it so much and will go back again and again.

Llama Llama Sunrise Cabin
The property was beautiful and loved seeing all the animals. It was very peaceful and just what was needed to disconnect from our hectic lives.
