Welcome to our idyllic 10-acre historic farmstead in rural Johnson County, Iowa (about 8 miles west of Iowa City). We are a bookish, quiet couple with an 8-year-old daughter, 2 llamas, 4 chickens, 2 babydoll sheep, 3 housecats, and 5 barn cats. In June and July, we open our farm to the public for U-pick organic blueberries. We're looking for Hipcampers who are respectful and clean.Come visit our 10-acre historic farmstead located 8 miles west of Iowa City. The campsite is a flat, grassy area tucked beside small forest. Beautiful views of majestic oak trees and stunning sunsets. Groups have the entire campsite to themselves and are welcome to wander the prairie trail, pasture, and half-acre blueberry field. We have a large, old barn that houses two friendly llamas, Jake and Elwood, and two little sheep, Phillip and Richard. We also have five hens (Blanche, Dorothy, Rose, Sophia, and Stan) that range around the property during daylight hours. Please note that we live on a hilly gravel road that can be dusty on dry, windy days.

What a treat to stay at Jenna and Eric’s sweet farm! Great fire pit and seating area, well-appointed loo and gorgeous old oak trees. I had a peaceful evening and a relaxing morning before continuing my journey. I will be back!

Great little camping spot! We enjoyed the peaceful and beautiful countryside. Hosts were great and showed us around the farm! We had fun feeding the llamas and gathering eggs from the chickens. Bathroom was cute and clean and there was a great place for a fire. Hope to come back when the blueberries are ripe!

Idyllic!
20 ft campervan
Instant relaxation! The property and camp site are beautiful and easy to access. Jenna took the time to show me around and chat about the farm and their plans. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to see the llamas but still enjoyed the picture perfect rural setting and well equipped campsite/firepit. Having water and excellent bathroom facilities was a nice bonus.

An adorable farm camp!
19 ft campervan
We had a great stay on the Blueberry Farm. The hosts were kind and accommodating and a late June stay meant loads of blueberries to pick. Bring your batter and syrup! There are llamas and chickens so breakfast for us included fresh hens eggs. So good. We had our camper van and the property area were we stayed was well maintained with a private fire pit and a totally cute compost toilet shed. Would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous homestead stay in Iowa!
Tent
Our stay at Jenna and Eric’s was truly lovely! They greeted us as we arrived and Jenna gave us a tour of their property with great details about the area’s history in agriculture, the geography of Iowa, etc. She was a wealth of knowledge! We stayed at the end of March and it was a bit brisk, but there was bundles of wood, potable water, and a composting toilet and it was just what we needed! We were surprised in the morning with some fresh eggs which were obviously superior to any store bought eggs. In the morning we had our coffee and a little walk around the property’s trails. A lovely time in Iowa and we would definitely go back to visit!
