Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home at some sites—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Sleek Acres is a total of 13 acres, which includes our homestead, our chicken yard and barn, a fishing pond, and over 8 secluded acres to the back of the property where guests can explore (including walking trails). There are hungry catfish and bass in the pond who are always happy to be fed (we provide the fish food). Fishing is allowed, but catch and release only (under 12"), please! A small group of ducks live on the pond and will happily greet you as you walk to the beach. Relax at the beach in the morning as you enjoy your coffee and watch the fish, ducks, and turtles swim in the pond. Fire rings and picnic tables are provided at each site. A small amount of firewood is provided, and additional firewood is available for purchase. We have two charcoal grills available for your use. We provide a bathhouse, which includes a toilet and shower. A handwash/dishwashing station is located right outside the bathhouse. Our chickens are happy to take any food leftovers you don't want! You can walk right up to the fence and they will greet you. You may also see deer, fox, groundhogs, and many beautiful birds in the camping area. Located central to many destinations, we are 5 minutes from All-Sports Koontz Lake; 10 minutes from Plymouth, plenty of shopping and home of the Blueberry Festival (Labor Day weekend); 10 minutes from Walkerton, home of the Falloween Fest (Sept. 26, 27, 28); 25 minutes from Valparaiso; and 50 minutes from Notre Dame. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing place to camp, yet close to many attractions, Sleek Acres is the place to be! :) (Please note: Check in and out times, as well as quiet hours, are based on central time.)

Delightful. I would recommend it again. The hosts were quite welcoming and the camper was as cozy as it's name. It is right by Hwy 30, so if you are sensitive to noise, or seeking idyllic country silence, be warned that the sound of big reefers rolling down the highway will reach you at all hours, even though your privacy is well-shielded by trees.

Relaxing Weekend at Sleek Acres
21 ft travel trailer ·
This is a beautiful piece of property. Earl & Lisa laid it all out very well. The sites are just close enough to the toilet and shower house. The hand/dishwashing station has hot and cold water. It was also easy to access the water station to put water in our container to add to our travel trailer. Subtle solar lighting is a great touch to keep you out of the pond at night and also makes the area look magical at night. Plenty of wildlife to delight the senses, too. We lacked nothing on our first solar-powered camping adventure thanks to the hospitality of our wonderful hosts. We even had a cozy fire ring to enjoy as the deer and The Pink Moon came out. Easy access... CLEAN... SAFE... Relaxing... If you have the chance, you should stay here!

Well-Kept Camping w/Amenities
Tent · With pets ·
We really enjoyed our stay on Lisa and Earl's land. They were great, relaxed people and seem to love sharing their land with campers. We stayed in Site 2 which is close to the pond (just on the other side of the vehicle path). It's a decently private location, but still close to all the amenities. (Under a minute walk.) There was plenty of mowed grass and you can choose to set up a little farther back into the woods or up near where you can see the pond. We paid the fee for firewood, and Lisa and Earl kept us well-stocked. My photos show Site 2, though there is actually more space than that to park your vehicle. If you're looking for the most private/woodsy feeling, I'd recommend Site 1. It's quite a bit farther away from the amenities, but nothing is terribly far from any of the sites. If privacy and being surrounded by trees is your thing, you'd like Site 1 the best. The other sites would be great for families or friends looking to camp together. They're spaced out, but are visible to each other, so they're a bit more what you'd expect from a campground. This area is where you'll find the communal firepit and camping trailer. These sites are the closest to the bathroom facilities as well. All the sites give you plenty of space. We brought our dog along, and as there were no other campers, we were able to have her off leash. If you have a dog that will bother other campers or chickens, plan to keep them secured somehow. Highly recommended!!!

Beautiful property and lovely host who escorted us to our site and even lit a fire while we parked and started unloading. Amenities were perfect. Hot water for the shower was hot! Would definitely stay again.
