Places of Sanctuary has 30 Acres of woods which include several dedicated hiking trails with beautiful clearings and benches for resting and reflecting along the way. You're welcome to fish in the pond that has plenty of shade and sun, or sit around the bonfire site where we have benches provided and roast marshmallows. With two easy-access large tree houses, bench swings and a big picnic shelter, there's lots of room to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. You might encounter wildlife like: deer, mink, or geese, but you're sure to see our chickens and ducks running around and hear our rooster crow in the morning. Depending on the time and season, we offer several hands on experiences with berry picking, chicken tending, food processing, gardening, and general light land maintenance like checking the trails for down limbs and trash. With gorgeous views and the convenience of being just 10 minutes from University Southern Indiana or 15 minutes from restaurants and stores, we welcome you to camp with us. If you are interested in staying longer than 3 nights or your RV/camper is longer than 36 feet long, please message us to see if we can accommodate your visit. Usually we can!

RV Site 1

Site one was great at moffett lake. Tammy was wonderful. She said it was okay for us to come in early. Our last site was only an hour away. She was very welcoming to us. We had a great time.

Tent Site 2

Great experience! The location is tucked away without being too far from the highway, making it a perfect stop on my cross country drive. Pristine facilities and gracious hosts, plus I loved waking up to the roosters!

RV Site 2

A nice secluded plot of land for us to park our converted box truck and hookup electricity and water! Owners were great at communicating through the app and text, and met us at their gate to show us to the three concrete pads they had available for parking. Asked how much the dozen eggs were, and they said they were on the house! The only tiny issue was the WiFi connection being unusably slow while parked at the middle spot, so I ended up just using my phones hotspot. They did also have a nice building with showers and bathrooms available! Would highly recommend if in the area!

RV Site 2

Hosts were friendly and helpful. The bathrooms and showers were immaculate. The walking trails were maintained and wide enough to enjoy, with beautiful scenery. Very peaceful place.
