Deaf Barefoot Melange Farm
Great place with a great view. Initially felt a little weird pulling into the backyard of someone’s place, but was able to have some solitude out by the pond. The sound of nature was beautiful!

Nice site right by the pond
My one night stay was quiet...well, except for the sounds of nature all around me. Mustang greeted me, directed me to choose my site and offered the use of a restroom. I felt safe and was lulled to sleep by the resident bullfrogs. I would stay here again if in the area.

Bikepacking the Tunnel Hill Trail
The farm made for a perfect spot for our overnight trip on the Tunnel Hill Trail and our first Hipcamping experience. The farm is just a few miles north of the northern terminus of the trail. So much of the land in the area is open farmland, but the property has a beautiful pond with a good amount of tree cover, to provide both privacy and some protection from the elements. Mustang was a wonderful host, let us take showers, which was great after a long ride, and even lent us some camp chairs to sit around the fire, by the pond, which was great at the end of a long day. Highly recommend!
Deaf Barefoot Melange Farm
This is a sweet spot for a smaller camper. It's right by a pond, and we were happily greeted by the chickens, roosters, duck and horse! Very private and quiet :)

A great pit stop
The host was responsive and the oasis retreat was everything it claims to be. I definitely recommend this space for anyone that wants quick access to Shawnee

Up with the chicken...
We had a great time on the farm enjoying some tranquil evenings at the pond, with campfire, and breakfasts surrounded by the lively barnyard animals. The pond with the tree line makes for a secluded setting.
The farm was a good base for our excursions to hiking and biking in the Shawnee National Forest and is close to shopping and dining in Eldorado and Harrisburg.
