Beautiful lush property with fruit and avocado trees. We arrived after dark but Shawn was still there to welcome and direct us. We camped in our van and found a mostly flat spot. We didn't stick around long enough to enjoy the pool or other amenities. The indoor bathroom + shower was welcome. Note though that it's a shared bathroom with the host and we felt a little like we were intruding.

Aloha camping
Amazing plot of land for camping with great beach view. We apreciated the garden furniture that made our stay more comfortable. The large shower and the volcanic hot tub were great. Prepare bug spray because of the mosquitos.

Sweet setup, the pictures don’t express its actual beauty. Wake up to the ocean sun rise every morning. Clean facilities, grassy and flat grounds. Host was kind and knowledgeable.

Glamping at it's Best
Yet another great one for families with kids. Wild Blue Water Ranch was the 4th of seven Hipcamp locations we stayed at during our 17-day excursion to the Big Island with our son and daughter (11 & 10) and among the best in terms of accommodations and location. In fact, it almost seems unfair to call it camping. Donna, Shawn, Blaze, and their 5 friendly dogs were great, very warm and welcoming. There were several spots on the property to set up camp with the furthest back providing the most privacy and coverage and ample sets of tables and chairs to arrange as you like. We parked closest to the house for easiest access to the house, pool, and coast overlook, which was also the most open. Having access to a real indoor bathroom and shower was also a nice break from some of the more rugged spots we stayed at. Our kids had a blast swimming in the pool and playing fetch with the dogs, all of whom spent the better part of the evening stargazing with may daughter, who ingratiated them with lots of belly rubs. (I thought for sure we'd be taking a couple back home with us) Thankfully, they were all well behaved and did not make noise through the night. As for the location, Pahoa was one of the more "upscale" small towns we found around the island and Malama Market one of the nicest grocery stores - the only grocery market I've ever seen with a sports bar inside! If you're looking for a more comfortable place to camp with kids and/or to recharge your batteries, this is your spot!

Paradise
My family had a great time at the property, they loved the pool and hot tub. They dogs were friendly and Shawn was very helpful during our stay. The views were amazing and we felt very lucky to be able to camp there. The fresh bananas and avacados were delicious.
