Remote 30 acre parcel 15 minutes outside of Waimea on Hawai’i Island. On nice days you can enjoy a beautiful view of Waipi’o Valley as well as Mauna Kea. We live in a remnant Hawaiian rainforest and it can be very wet here, however the world’s best beaches are only 45 minutes away. Landlord’s residence is down the driveway out of view. There are horses, cows, chickens and dogs on the property. Please be advised that the chickens hang out at the barn and there may sometimes be some chicken droppings on the lanai/porch. On clear nights the stars are out of this world and even during rainy days you can cozy up by the fire.
Ideal for three adults or a couple with an older kid. The loft may not be ideal for couples traveling with a younger child.Enjoy complete privacy at our little barn! It is very peaceful and beautiful. The room is cozy and many guests have raved that they’ve had the best sleeps of their lives there. There is a full size mattress in the loft and a queen size bed below. We do live fully off grid and there is a small solar power system at the barn that powers a mini fridge and lights. There is a campchef propane stove. On our lanai you find a sink and it’s a couple of steps outside to our propane powered hot shower. There is a large covered outdoor space for you to have your meals on and enjoy being outside. Our home is out if view down the road and we can help you with anything you need. Ideal for three adults or a couple with an older child. Or come alone and enjoy the peace and quiet!
IMPORTANT: Please be aware that it can be very wet and muddy in our area as this is a Hawaiian Rainforest climate. It is a 45 min drive to world class sandy beaches such as Hapuna on the West Side of the island. Waimea can also get pretty cold but we do allow guests to use our fire pit. There is no Wifi!!!! Reception is good enough to make calls but even cell phone internet can be slow.
