Mountain Cabin 1 of 3 in the Forest
Beautiful Small Cabin on Haleakala
The stay at this cabin was very unique and very cozy. I enjoyed the camping vibe that also reminded me of the Philippines as a young boy. The nature surrounding the cabin was refreshing and enjoyable. Especially from the front of the cabin, you could see the entire island and ocean.. I felt at peace being there. Although we arrived at dark, the instructions made it easily identifiable especially with the blinking red lights to help guide the way. The bed was comfortable to sleep in. The shared bathroom (small structure behind the cabin) was always clean and stocked; Never did it feel dirty or unsanitary. We just wished the cabin came with hand soap. But all in all, we enjoyed the stay here and will definitely be booking it again in the future along with the rest of our family members to tag along. I recommend staying here if you’re into the camping-type vibe, don’t mind the little critters that crawl around, a shared bathroom just a 10-second walk away, and can function a propane-heated shower.

Best of Hawaii worthy!
This site was truly amazing! Flashing red lights and motion censored lights at camp made our night arrival easy and we were pleasantly surprised by the clean and well designed outdoor shower and toilets. 👏 Location was also great with close proximity to town, cafe, general store and approach to Haleakala. This place should be considered for best of Hawaii!! 10/10 🤙

Great campsite!
This was a great campsite. It was clean and well maintained. It had nice flush toilets and an outdoor heated shower. It had a lot of shade and tables to use. I would return and would recommend this campsite. The host was responsive even though they were out of town during our stay.

Cozy and quiet!
It was perfect place to get away from all the hustle and bustle. It was like we were tucked away in the woods. There was a gazebo and a fire pit area that you could get a glimpse of the island if you wanted. But my husband and I just enjoyed the chickens, turkeys and deer that wandered through. Bathrooms and shower were exceptionally nice. Oh and they also had a gas and charcoal grill, with all the utensils. Definitely would like to come back!

Alika and Pi'ilani were proactive hosts with great communication. The cabin we stayed in was small (as expected) and clean and had a private shower with got water and sink ensuite and a comfortable bed. We kept the windows open overnight and the blankets provided were more than adequate to keep warm! (The nights were a little cool but not cold during our stay.) It was all that we needed for the nights we were there! The flush toilets were a few steps from the cabin and were also clean and well kept. The automatic outdoor lighting was also much appreciated for being outside after dark, and the solar powered indoor light was sufficient for the space. The views down to the sea/coast from the multiple picnic tables were nice and a shared grill was available though we didn't get a chance to use it.
The property itself was secluded, quiet, and secure feeling. We ultimately choose this location as a more-affordable base for exploring in the upcountry as well as a cooler location to sleep than down by the coast, and it was super convenient to most places we wanted to explore!

Loved camping at Alika’s place! It really is so peaceful and beautiful up there. I saw several butterflies flying around in the morning. The trees are gorgeous and it was nice and cool to sleep. I also felt super safe there! Really beautiful campsite! Great bathroom and showers. I feel blessed I got to stay there.
