Nice and close walk to downtown Pahoa. Spend your evening with local music events and in the heart of down town walking distance from Food and several bars. There are local food spots such as, Kava bar. Enjoy various live downtown music shows. Relax yourself with no need to drive. Bonfire's are welcome. We have solar power and lights and a charger station. and a working shower.
Pretty muddy with a lot of mosquitoes & minimal infrastructure. It's obviously a great price for a place to sleep, but not somewhere I'd hang out. Seemed to be a few longer-term residents inhabiting plywood structures, in addition to a couple tents, but everybody I ran into was nice. I was able to walk to "downtown Pahoa" in less than 15 minutes.
This was a good place to stay at. Very close to town. I am excited to see what they do in the future and I hope that they continue to keep cheap rates as they improve. I stayed there in a pinch and it was easy to find.
