Naalehu hideaway
Definitely a hideaway but great directions and easy spot to get to with my car. I like the simplicity and the cleanliness. Would go back.

We spent two nights on Andrews’s camp and it was great ! It got it all, table, chair, shade, hot shower and toilet. It’s very quiet at night but in the morning expect morning and roasters. Andrew was nice and gave us good directions to get there

We had a nice time staying here. We originally planned on just one night but ended up staying for three. There are construction materials around but it is not dangerous or disorganized, the camp host is building a pretty impressive structure on the site. otherwise, there is a flat space on the ground near the entrance that served us well. This is the cheapest place you will find to stay in Hawai'I and it is conveniently located near Kona, Green Sands and the best L&L on the island. The hot shower was also really nice after a day of swimming or hiking.

You get what you pay for. The shower makes your stay worth it, and it has hot water! This is a very convenient and affordable place to stay if you want to go spend the day hiking or cliff diving nearby.

Naalehu hideaway
There were no flat spaces to put a tent. There was a lot of trash and old building material strewn around the place. The guy living onsite was totally friendly and tried to be accommodating, but in its current state the place really shouldn’t be hosting anyone. I think it’s got potential if they keep putting some more work in to it, but as it is I wouldn’t stay again or recommend to anyone. Sorry for the negative review, I’m just being honest.

I would recommend it, however it’s best to arrive before sunset because it looks a bit sketchy. Also, water, toilets and picnic tables are not at the site but about 2kms away by the main road. There is one person living on the land but he is very kind and helpful. I would recommend to stay there if you don’t need anything else but a good sleep.
