* MAGICAL LAVA TEMPLE, PELES FEET *
Beautiful, but not very welcoming.
Overall a beautiful once in a lifetime experience! I do have a few pros and cons that will hopefully help others make a more informed decision. PROS: *The lava fields are BREATHTAKING, and watching sunrise is glorious there. *The open air house is beautiful. CONS: *It's a little pricey for what you get. (We also stayed in a farm house at papaya farms, and it was a fraction of the cost with way better benefits.) *We were never greeted, and only saw the caretaker when she requested our kids quiet down. *The mosquito canopies are great, but also have holes so not very effective. *The washer and dryer listed as available are out of order so you have to go in town for laundry which is pricey. *While exploring we found a drawer full of old magazines covered in roach poop, and infested with roaches. *The water pump is in the house you'll stay in, and is VERY loud. We were woken up several time when the caretaker took showers at 2 and 3am. *While children are welcome, if they wake before 8 am they're required to be very quiet due to the caretaker's PTSD. This was the most frustrating part considering her early morning showers woke us up multiple times. *Make sure not to leave anything behind because you will not receive help to find them. *There is a 9mm gun and co2 "bullets" on site that is NOT secured. ______________ It's an off grid establishment water and energy conservation are KEY. All things considered it's a beautiful experience! Just a few things that could be better.

** ELEMENTAL LAVA LOFT **
Super cool spot nestled in the recent lava flows, but a little oasis of trees and flora. Great views of the surrounding volcano and not far from town. Jade gave us a ton of recommendations for things to do around the area. Wifi, showers, drinking water and a cooking stove were sooo nice after camping the night before in the pouring rain.
