Our one acre of land, located in the Big Island's Hawaiian Paradise park, may not be the biggest, but we use every inch of land we have to grow delicious fruits/vegetables and enable us to live off the grid. Our water catchment system and solar energy provides us with all that we need! The land was originally intended to be a spiritual/healing center, and although we do not practice healing methods at this time we believe the positive energy and support of both the land and its people will help you reach your highest potential.
We have a garden house for one person with its own private compost toilet and sink with a shared outdoor shower and shared screened in outdoor kitchen and community hang out room with personal mini fridge/cooler.
Must be ok following a vegetarian diet also no cooking of eggs while on the property.
It is simple living with quiet hours from 9pm to 7 am
please reach out to talk first to confirm we both think it is a good fit.
Aloha!Come share our good energy and spread the love on our holistic, vegetarian farm! We are located on an acre of land about a thirty minute drive away from the bigger town of Hilo, and only 13-14 minutes away from the smaller towns of Pahoa and Keeau. Nearby there is an hour long hiking trail that takes you to a secluded white sand beach with clear water, and even sea turtles! Walking up the main road also takes you to beautiful cliffs that look out over the ocean-- it's a little too rocky to swim, but the views are breathtaking. Near the town of Hilo there is the popular Rainbow falls, a large waterfall over 80ft high that is free to see, and Boiling pots nearby These are only a few of the things that can be done-- there is so much to see and do with a little bit of research.
Buses are free. There is a bus stop near to the house that can take you to any town you want to go, or if you want there are often many people on the land who may want to pitch in together to rent a car for cheap. Hitchhiking is also a popular thing to do around here as the Big Island is quite safe. When others are here working or renting the bathroom/shower/kitchen must be shared. There is also another tent next door that might be rented out or used for workers so please be mindful of that. As mentioned above, we are a vegetarian family, so no meat products on the land please, but cheese, milk, and butter are no problem. There is also no smoking, no drinking, and no drugs allowed on the property and we have quiet hours from 9pm-7am. We are also off grid so no higher power objects such as a hair dryer, irons, blenders, or toasters.
As long as you are an open-minded individual accepting of our rules you are welcome here, and we would be glad to have you!
Mahalo.
