Aloha Mini
The area is perfect, right at the NE corner of the island where you can access beautiful beaches of the North and East. Land is a beautiful, peaceful farm. Food trucks and superette are very close. And Dennis is a very kind man who is in service to Indigenous rights and land conservation, and is also a farmer. He provided us with a camp stove when we asked for one. Great budget option for staying on the North coast.

Choose Your Own Orchard Site
no frills thrills
This was our very first hip camp experience, so we weren’t sure what to expect. Our hosts were very kind and super mellow. We’re grateful and stoked that their site is dog-friendly, so we could bring our dog to experience his first camping adventure! We opted for the “choose your own orchard site” and tent camped. We decided to set up in the area under more tree coverage and nearer to the fire pit, which worked out perfectly for us, the doggo, our tent, and EZ-up canopy. They even had solar lights strung up along a couple of the trees, to add to the nighttime ambiance. As for facilities, there are two porta-potties and an outdoor enclosed private cold water shower. This is good to keep in mind, if you’re opting to tent camp like we did. Also note, it gets quite muddy when it’s wet out. There was pre-cut firewood available to use for a campfire, which we didn’t get to do this time around, due to the rain. Perhaps next time! The farm is conveniently located and easy to navigate to. Wouldn’t mind visiting again (when it’s not rainy) to explore the farm, meet the farm animals, and enjoy a bonfire 😅

Choose Your Own Orchard Site
Based on previous reviews I was expecting to like this place. Stayed for one night in one of the car camping spots. When I got there the portapotty was completely full and the roll of toilet paper was sitting in the urinal. I let the owner know about this and tries to give him the benefit of the doubt because I had booked the spot only a few hours in a advance. He was nice enough to let me use another bathroom that was much cleaner. Unfortunately though the next morning I woke up to my battery in my van having died. Totally not the owners fault but when I tried to find him for assistance and even called and texted him, he was not available. I ended up having to flag someone else down to help me junp my van. Never ended up hearing from him even after I left. Overall I don't think I would reccomend unfortunately.

Aloha Mini
Wonderful Experience
Ben and Henry are kind, courteous and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond to ensure that we were welcomed. All the farm animals are well cared for and the property is very well managed. My little boy climbed trees, played for hours outside and loved the Aloha Mini. The bathroom was clean and hot showers made it even more enjoyable.

We could not dreamed of a better first HipCamp experience. Wow! And we were one of their first guests too. What a treat to be surrounded by nature and well loved animals. Henry and Ben made us feel immediately welcome and comfortable. They offered our pick of a site nestled in the fruit orchard. On our second night we came home to an upgrade of carpet for our tent entrance and solar powered strong lights. What an added touch!
We loved it so much we extended our stay for a few extra days and got to know the animals and farm. It was really enjoyable learning about and seeing the projects they have going.
My favorite highlights are the sweet old rescue horses and my new best friend, George, the rooster, who followed me around like a dog everywhere.
If it were up to me I would stay here forever ;)
