Tent Sites will start at $45 a night and go up with Gazebo's $69 a night with additional tents $10 a night. Lookout Tower can be reserved first come first served. Touring the Lava Tube is free with a paid Camp reservation. All Items brought in, must be taken back out. The showers and toilets are brand new comfortable and very clean and maintained multiple times a day. The property is very well laid out for campers to have their own privacy and access to the facilities and lava tube. The star gazing here is phenomenal and the lava tube is one of the biggest on the island at 450' long with a 50' ceiling and about 50' wide.. going in on a nice staircase to a groomed path is a breeze. Leaving is just as spectacular. I call it entering a new world by maina Loas creation. The paths are lit up by hundreds of solar lights and all building have automatic lights to assist your navigation of the property.

Great spot!!!

Great spot for camping! Josh is a great host! It gets a little chilly at night cuz it's higher altitude so being an extra blanket. Awesome covered Pavillion with chairs and lights... High desert style, very similar eastern oregon. Will definitely stay again!

1 day No Overnight LavaTube Visit

Lava tubing

Beautiful grounds to large lava tube. Recommend flashlight just case. Host provided information about lava tube and provided guide. Clear walking path in tube though.

JUST THE BEST! It's that simple.

We had a wonderful stay in Josh's campsite, it's a unique place where you feel so good & Josh is really an exceptional person. He helped us a lot & gave us a tour of his domain with, as a surprise, an impressive lava tube, so atypical! The facilities are top-notch, with hot showers, clean toilets and solar-powered lights along the way. What's more, it's a great place to admire the stars! Truly the best place we've done on Big Island! Josh is incredible and we hope to come back!

One week at Josh’s place

We have been camping on the Big Island couple of times. Josh’s campground is best by far. He upgraded us with better bungalow with star watching deck. Josh was very helpful with providing us weather and trip information so we could stay always on sunny side of the Island. All facilities are new and clean. Lava tube at the campground was impressive. We recommend this campground to everyone. Thank you Josh.

Amazing Camp Site on Big Island!

Incredible campsite! Seriously, probably the best place on the island to camp. The owners have put in a lot of TLC into this place - the facilities are immaculate, the host(s) are on-site and available anytime you need, and the property is beyond well-maintained. I was pleasantly surprised to find CLEAN, FLUSHING toilets; a shower with hot water, and a kitchen sink. The fire pits and gazebos were very much appreciated. We had the best time here. And, of course, the lava tube was awesome. This place is a hidden gem. I highly highly recommend!
