Spend your days petting goats, feeding snacks to the pigs, and listening to cows moo in the field. Collect your own eggs from the coop and fresh veggies from the garden. Meet Fergus and Ellie, our Scottish Highland calves. Then hang out by the campfire or swing in a hammock in the evenings. Take a tour of our 12 acres and learn the ins and outs of homesteading. We are a first-generation farm and we love sharing our passion. You’ll be picking out a farm of your own in no time! Includes 30 or 50 amp hook-ups, septic, water, and wi-fi. Just a few miles from Cloudland Canyon State Park and historic downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Chickamauga, Georgia.

Site 2 - Tent Camping on the Farm

Quality farmland camping!

As an avid State-Park camper, whenever branching out to private-owned properties, the Host is really what can make-or-break the experience. Luckily, Janna is a great, accommodating host with excellent communication. The interaction with the animals and quality bread-making session was icing on the cake in addition to giving the kids plenty to do. The bathroom is top-quality WITH A TANKLESS WATER HEATER! There is decent cell signal on the property and small town activities 10-15mins away. All-in-all, it was a very pleasant experience. We’re already planning our trip for spring!

Site 1 - RV Camping on the Farm

We stayed 2 nights at this beautiful property. Janna was so nice. We felt bad about our late arrival Friday night but she was super sweet and helpful. We got the dozen egg add-on and they were delicious—definitely recommend! It was so fun to hang out with the animals during the day. She gave us a tour of the upper level of the farm to see the pigs, goats, and rabbits too! Our favorite animals were the highland cows and the dog named Sugar (who is the sweetest and loves all the belly rubs). We visited Cloudland State Park during the day which is nice and close and so pretty! Overall it was such a great location and experience. (The only downside to our stay was one of the farm dogs slept about 10 feet from our travel trailer both nights and barked loudly throughout most of the night. We know it’s doing its farm dog protective job, but it made it REALLY difficult to sleep. Not sure if anything can be changed about that. We might try again a different time of year, or bring earplugs and a sound machine to see if that helps. Because otherwise we would love to come back and bring our friends who also love camping!) Site 3 - RV Camping on the Farm

Janna was super nice and more than welcoming. The animals were all great as well. While I understand the necessity of the working dogs, hearing them bark all night was less than great. Luckily in our camper we could drown out the barking.

Site 2 - Tent Camping on the Farm

Great camping with expectations

This place is a great camping experience, as long as you have a camper/RV. The outdoor shower was nice, the bathroom was better than most houses bathrooms, and you can literally wake up to miniature cows outside of your tent! The host was super responsive! The reason I say this is great for a camper/RV is because the dogs, who are guard dogs for the livestock, bark, all night. It is their job to bark all night but if you are in a tent, you are going to hear every one of them. They will visit your campsite often during the day and evening, and if you are camping in a tent and cooking outside, you need to be very aware of where you leave food. I will say that when I messaged the host to see if there was a way to get the dogs out of camp while we ate, she was very quick to call them up to the house and kept them up there until late evening.

Site 1 - RV Camping on the Farm

We loved camping here! This is a level site in a pastoral setting with free roaming highland cows. Access to a bathroom and outdoor shower & full hook ups available. This place is easy to get to, and feels private. Firewood bundles and farm fresh eggs for a deal. Lovely view of the stars at night. We enjoyed touring the farm with the owner. Our 13 year old is already asking to go back again.
