Primitive campsites along the Ocmulgee River just North of Dames Ferry. Four individual camp sites along Barn Creek and along the river adjacent to the Piedmont National Forest. No power, running water or restrooms. Hike-in/out, paddle-in/out, bike-in/out or drive in 4x4 only. Private river access to great bass-fishing waters.Creekside camp site is on Barn Creek, just steps from the Ocmulgee River. It’s a standard 16’x16’ gravel/sand base perfect for pitching your tent. Accessible by 4x4 or you can hike in/out, paddle in/out or bike in/out. Primitive camping at its finest. There is a train across the river that runs and can be heard throughout the day/night.
