This is my family's property. We acquired it when I was in fourth grade and then spent all the way until high school coming up on weekends and for a month every summer until we had something to call our own. We planted over 750 pine trees, added an irrigation system, built a chicken coop, sheds and out buildings, and carved our mark into old Florida grass and scrubland. Fast forward two decades with my father's failing health and ultimate death, the property was left to fend for itself. About ten years ago, my four brothers started tending the land again and it started seeing it's former self. In spring of this year with the coronavirus shuttting down this country, I moved back home with my dogs. Now begins my family property's new era. Come enjoy! Learn more about this land: You'll set up camp in a maintained field that is surrounded by old growth Oak forest. There's lots of birds, butterflies, mushrooms, Gopher tortoises, different species of pine and oak trees, blackberries, and native plants. If you're lucky, you'll spot our elusive deer and rabbits.

Florida Springs Weekend

We loved car camping on Joshua’s property. The directions to the property were clear, and he met us as we arrived. We got to explore and choose our own campsite. The bathroom was very nice and well kept. Fire pits made for an easy fire set up under the stars. We visited the Ichetucknee Springs (30 min away) and Steinhatchee (40 min away) nearby. Great launchpad for many of the springs in the area.

Me and my friends absolutely loved out stay at Joshua’s hipcamp. They were very accommodating and let us more our reservation a day ahead, provided wood and nice bathroom. They were also sweet enough to help us jump start our car because the battery died. Overall, very recommended, the hosts for sure make the experience.

Great spot

The host was very nice and helpful. The area was maintained and clean with wood for the fire. Got to hang out with the hosts dog which made my dog very happy to have a friend. 🥰

Wonderful

Wonderful hosts! Clear directions to a safe, quiet location great for stargazing. Very clean bathroom including some extra toothbrushes and supplies. We appreciated the firewood and the cool fire stuff they brought over to us! Definitely adding this location to our favorites. Henry is a sweet laid back pup and got along with ours, it was nice meeting them all :)
