One of the first homes ever erected in the area. The Deltona Station was once the Daytona Beach East Coast Railway Station built in the 1890's. Torn down in Daytona in the 1950's and a portion rebuilt as a lake cottage in the early 60's. I went through an extensive restoration in 2016-19 and am always finding more to do.

Beautiful and homey
Although our stay was very short my boyfriend and I enjoyed it! The rain limited our use of the fire pit, but our host was very accomidating and allowed us to use his blow torch in case we wanted to start a fire anyway. His property was gorgeous and the lake view only added to the charm.

Great location, Amazing Host!
My boyfriend and I stayed over one night at Jame's campsite since it was close to Blue Springs. The campsite was great and perfect for us. We pitched our tent right in front of his lake and our car was close enough for us to bring everything down without any probs. James was very nice. We arrived, set up our camp and then stepped out for some exploring and dinner and when we got back, James had turned on tiki torches for us, lights, and laid out some cushions on a wooden outdoor sleigh bed that we enjoyed. He also setup some outdoor chairs around the campfire for us to use and that was perfect because we had forgotten our chairs. (plus he has firewood for sale at his place, we brought some of our own) The campfire at night was perfect since it was a little chilly that night. In the morning it was drizzling, however, we were warm and dry inside our tent. James was kind enough to offer us some hot coffee but we were enjoying the view of the rain and the lake from inside our tent, so we passed on it but still kind of him to text us and offer some. Once the drizzling settled we packed up our things and used his great outdoor shower with hot water which had lots of privacy and a great view of the lake.
The campsite is private, cozy, clean, and James a great host. I would highly recommend the site for couples or families looking for a nice place for some great outdoor peace and privacy.

The Deltona Station was a sweet little camping spot right on the lake. It was quiet, romantic and the perfect place to camp for me and my guy. Campgrounds are full of noisy neighbors, but all we heard were the birds singing. Our host James took us last minute, had firewood for us and was an exceptional host. His property is off the beaten path and full of charm. We felt totally at home! Not only will I be back, but I plan on telling my city friends about this place. Such a great option for campers!!!!! Thanks James. See you again soon.
