Primitive Single Site, Easy Access
We loved this campsite! The owner was so easy to work with as well. If you are looking for a primitive site where you cannot see houses or buildings around you, and you are the ONLY campsite, this is it. The next nearest house was about 3/4 mile away. It is especially nice because you get that primitive feeling without having to go deep into a forest. This location is quite interesting. It seems as though land was cleared in the 90s, for a neighborhood. Roads were put in and then that is where they stopped. Nothing has been done after that and woods have grown up all around. The roads through the area are all cracked with weeds coming through them. It is a little eerie, but in a good way. the roads made for great night time hikes and would be perfect for kids on bikes. This site is along a canal. We saw one small gator in it. The site has a decent view of the water. The site is level and large enough to spread out. There is zero natural shade from trees. You must bring a tailgate tent or a large beach umbrella at the very least for hanging out under during the day. The gate to enter the site is very narrow. My Nissan Frontier barely fit through it. Our second truck would not fit and parked just outside the gate. If your car cannot fit through the gate, you would need to carry your stuff in about 30 yards. There is a large open area next to it that was great for archery. There was road noise from the interstate nearby but it wasn't anything that affected our stay.

The site was over grown . It looked nothing like the picture. I wouldn’t recommend this camp to anyone. We left didn’t even stay .

Amazing secluded spot
This place was amazing. Completel;y off the grid, secluded, private, right on the water. We saw alligators, caught fish, saw rabbits, went kayaking! Jessica was an amazing host and so responsive. i do recommend bringing a generator or renting the one jessica offers because charging of phones is very slow on solar power and in the summer you will definitely want the ac for the camper. Other than that she had absolutely everythign you could possibly imagine in the camper for you (chargers, facial wipes, compost dirt for the toilet, left us coffee and snacks, waters, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, baby wipes, Italian coffee maker, small stove top- 1 eye, a cute little welcome sign with our names, solar powered speaker with flashlight, press on lights in the camper, 5 gallon running water for dishes, boho swing, chairs with pillows around the campfire, plates, plasticware, and so much more)! i would recommend this spot for sure and would def rent again! thanks so much for the awesome experience!
