Escape on the Lake is a tranquil retreat where campers can enjoy the serene beauty of nature, enhanced by stunning sunsets over the lake. Paul, the host, is frequently highlighted for his warmth and attentiveness, making guests feel welcome and looked after. The campsite is well-maintained with clean facilities and offers a pet-friendly environment. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few note that the proximity to other campers and nearby noise might not suit those seeking complete solitude.

We loved the leisurely feel of Paul's property. It was peaceful, calm, and quiet. We took a short walk to the pier extending into the lake. Later, we enjoyed a campfire under the stars. Paul is a very friendly host.

Escape to this hidden gem on the lake, a secluded paradise perfect for a private getaway. The camping site offers the perfect setting for your trailer, complete with a 50 amp hook up and water connection. Whether you have furry companions or just yearn for tranquility, this place is ideal for you. Just a stone's throw away from the vibrant DeLand, where the fun never ends. The warm welcome we received, with assistance to our site and ensuring we had all essentials, made our stay even more special. Without a doubt, we cannot wait to return!

A taste of “old Florida”
8 m travel trailer ·
This was a beautiful place with a lake and “old Florida” appeal with huge oaks and Spanish moss. We even had an orange tree right behind our rig. Paul was a great host and kept up with our stay.
