RV Carport Retreat at Lucky U Ranch Nestled close to all the amenities of the ranch, this spacious 18' x 40' RV carport offers privacy and convenience without the presence of visiting horses or donkeys. It features a 50-amp electrical hook-up, filtered water, and a private septic system—perfect for extended stays. Shaded by mature oak trees and overlooking the tranquil lily pond, the site includes a private 16' x 24' paver patio complete with a cozy fire pit. Only one other RV shares the 5-acre property, and it is located well away from the carport, ensuring peace and quiet. For safety, dogs must remain on leash during the day, as the property shares a fence line with our Anatolian Shepherds. Well-behaved dogs may enjoy off-leash time after 5 PM as the shepherds are up in the barn.

Rob and Mike have a beautiful property and our family had a great time! The bathroom and showers are very clean and modern without losing the rustic feel. The horses and donkeys are so friendly and came right up to our tent camp site. Mike made sure to give us a tour of the ranch and we were able to pet their goats and miniature horses. We saw some other cool animals too! Thanks again for the awesome experience!

The RV was a home away from home. It was great for a family of five. We had a separate space from our kids and our kids loved the bunk beds. It’s easy to cook inside and outside. The hosts are extremely attentive and responded quickly to our many questions. We loved hiking through the cypress trees. Just watch out for the roots. Signs warn you of them too. We loved the communal space around the bathroom and showers. Our kids played in the sand for hours. We loved taking the tour to meet the goats, house pig and horses. You get to feed the horses too which is really fun. We can’t wait for our next trip. Our kids were sad to leave.

We loved staying at Rob and Mike’s property. Lucky U Ranch is a beautiful place to tent camp. The amenities are carefully thought of, they have everything campers could need, from hot showers to hot cocoa. Rob and Mike were always around caring for the animals, the guest and the land. Thank you both for going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and share your animals and space with us.

Our second HipCamp. Have done many camps over the years County run State Parks etc. This place is clean, well kept with up close horses and donkeys. Great views, hiking through Stands of Cypress with all the knees. Also mostly private. The Host Mike and Rob intend to please and make your camping experience awesome.

Stayed over the weekend and it’s a beautiful ranch and a very quiet and peaceful place to just unplug and relax. The staff are also great, nice clean bathrooms and great amenities. Just booked another weekend.

We can see why it was voted the best camping site in 2025. The hosts were so wonderful and gracious and it was a treat to get to tour the ranch and see all the animals! The facilities were very well taken care of and Rob and Mike were very quick to respond and accommodate! My only recommendation to future campers is make sure you’re bringing your deep woods spray to deter little hitchhikers. We will definitely be back to enjoy the campground and Hobbit Hole again!

I can't even begin to describe how wonderful it was .. Peaceful, and to wake up with good mornings from the horses and a visit from the donkeys in the afternoon was spectacular... The tour on Saturday was amazing! I would give it 10 stars! It was a pleasure to meet Rob and Mike, they are the nicest... See you again real soon!!!!

10/10!! Had a beautiful time at the ranch. We tent camped and the spots are nice and secluded on Magnolia Hill. Lots of thoughtful touches and amenities while still having the feeling of “out in the woods” camping. I’m an animal lover and got my farm animal fix here as well. We did some hiking in the state forest nearby. Will definitely be back!

It was my son's first time tent camping, and even though I forgot the marshmallows at home, Rob & Mike came to the rescue! Their communication was amazing during our entire stay! The farm was beautiful, the horses and donkeys were magical and hysterical (when they try to sneak your coffee). Highly recommend!

This is one of the best Hipcamp I've ever been to! I had a great time here tons of privacy. Great trails in the forest. The Rob annd Mike are wonderful. And there are lots of beautiful animals too! I highly recommend staying at this Hipcamp.

The hosts Rob and Mike made us feel so welcome and at home here on their Ranch. The ranch tour was an added bonus, seeing all their animals goats, pigs, donkeys, Miniature horses, and an even an Arabian Stallion and we were able to hold a baby goat. We stayed in the RV Forrest Edge. It was clean and the bed was so comfortable. For us it was the added little touches of clean towels, shampoo/conditioner, coffee maker and a lovely tablecloth on the picnic table all added to such a wonderful stay. There were also separate showers and restrooms at the pavilion, where you could also make coffee or hot chocolate, with mugs provided which was nice touch. Some of the highlights of our stay, we're meeting the Donkeys and horses which would roam the grounds and also visit us at the RV. Needless to say we loved every minute of our stay, and will be coming back in the near future. Thank you Rob and Mike for great hospitality and for us lasting memories!!

Everything went well and everything exceeded our expectations and they were amazing hosts. The atmosphere was serene, if we needed anything they were right there. The showers and the bathroom facilities were absolutely clean and they were well stocked and those are probably some of the nicest hip camp hygiene facilities I have seen at the larger campgrounds. There was a great small kitchen area. Everything was accessible to us. We had animals come through our campsite like horses and mules and visit us literally right at our camper door and they invited themselves to my dog's dog food and I absolutely love that they made themselves at home where they are at in their own natural surroundings. I hope the horses and mules were happy to greet us when they came through. We had a wonderful tour of the farm with our kids and absolutely love those animals. It was such a touch of heaven to have what seems like Noah's ark right there. Lol. They have the utmost respect for the campers needs and have things available to anticipate a camper's need even if we didn't know we needed it but it was great! I couldn't have asked for better campsite in my opinion. We had children, our service dog and three adults on the site. All five of us could have slept in the camper which I loved because there were five places for people to individually sleep. There's bunk beds in there for the kids too. Cooking needs met and you bring your food. Wifi was pure. Thank you so much.

Mike and Rob met us at the gate and were very helpful in getting us to our site. On the drive in it had the feel of old Florida, Cypress trees, moss hanging in the live oak trees. The donkeys and horses were friendly and just roaming around. Bathrooms and showers were nice and clean, kitchen area with microwave, large sink, coffee maker. The sites were very nice. They took us on a tour of their farm with the many goats and other animals, it was great. We plan on going back with our family next year. You will not be disappointed, highly recommend the ranch 👌.

Absolutely outstanding! It was our first family vacation and we definitely enjoyed every minute of it! We stayed in the camper with our 2 small kids and quickly realized I overpacked. There were plenty of extra blankets and fully stocked cookware. Waking up to the donkey’s outside of our window was amazing and seeing my 2 small kids reaction is something I will hold on to. thank you for the unforgettable memories, are will definitely be back.

This place is a peaceful getaway. I have revisited on multiple occasions and I am always impressed by the care and attention to detail the hosts provide. This forestry conservation is exceptional. Rob and Mike’s place is the best. We love the horses and donkeys knocking at our door in the morning. Their facilities are amazing, great site locations, showers, and farm tour. This is our second year at this wonderful location. Everyone is so friendly. If you love farm animals and plenty of land to hike around, this is the place for you.

Wonderful place to camp and relax. Really enjoyed the donkeys and the horses coming to visit us at our campsite daily. The hosts are so sweet and accommodating. Gave us a ranch tour so we could visit all of the new baby, goats, turkeys, chickens etc. already planning another trip in May and bringing other friends with us. I highly recommend this hip camp

I use Hipcamp quite a bit and this is one of the best Hipcamp I have ever visited!! The host of fantastic, wonderful, and kind folks. It was lovely getting to know them a little bit! The ranch itself is fantastic. There are large swaths of forest with hiking trails and the camp sites are some of the most secluded private campsites I have ever been to at a Hipcamp. The shower and bathroom and kitchen facilities are fantastic! They even provide towels, which is amazing!!:). The animals are adorable, beautiful creatures And it's wonderful to spend time with them. Rob and Mike obviously invest a lot of time, energy and love into creating a wonderful space. I will definitely be back again soon and highly highly recommend Hipcamp!!
