John’s hideaway campsite was the best! Very private- plenty of room for our 24’ motorhome. An area for a campfire & a double hammock the grandkids enjoyed! The common area was great with lots of bench swings I loved! Our grandkids had fun on the dock, catching small bluegills & enjoyed a short trip in the kayak! John was very kind & great at communicating before & during our stay! Bathroom was clean & a unique outdoor shower with great hot water! We definitely all want to return!

2nd stay even better than the 1st
Tent · With kids ·
We returned for a second stay because we enjoyed our first stay there last year so much, and our second stay was even better than our first. The site is very peaceful with a great combination of nature and amenities and beautiful design work, the location is convenient, the host gracious and easy to work with etc etc. I trust we'll be back to camp many times here - thanks!

First time camping success!
This was one of the most amazing experiences ever! The campgrounds were beautiful the pictures do not compare to in person, Creekside A was equipped with tables a hammock and fire pit and an electric plug which was perfect! The area is beautiful and kayaking was so amazing! I highly recommend this especially if you want to perfect mix of camp and glamp

Perfect spring camp
Tent · Group trip ·
We absolutely loved staying at John’s beautiful campsite. John and Patty were very hospitable, making sure we have everything we need but also leaving us to the peace we were able to enjoy there. There did seem to be several other campers there that we hardly noticed- it’s just a well planned out campground. We rented the kayaks one day and had the most beautiful little row on the creek. There were several peaceful spots to sit out on the water. We did hear a little bit of road and plane noise, but for the most part felt like we were completely outside civilization. The bathroom is attached to the family’s home along with the outdoor shower. Very convenient and well maintained. We plan to stay there again next year! 100% would recommend.

Beautiful Retreat!
Tent · With pets ·
J and P Creekside retreat is a little piece of paradise for camping in Southwest Florida! The spacious campsites are nestled among beautiful oak trees and palmettos along the Shell Creek and provide a relaxing step back into time reminiscent of Ole Florida. The restroom is clean and private and the outdoor shower is excellent with hot and cold water available. Firewood is available for campfires at a very reasonable price and picnic tables and trash cans are present on each site as well. We can’t say enough about the friendly hospitality of hosts John and Patty and son John is also so helpful with making our stay so comfortable and inviting. We highly recommend camping at J& P Creekside Retreat. This place is a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
