Homosassa is an old Florida fishing town that is a hidden gem along the gulf coast, this site is nestled quietly at the head of the river. This location is close to Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park where you can discover the wild side of Florida with endangered Florida panther, red wolf, manatee and whooping crane, plus black bear, bobcat and, of course, alligator. The site is located 150 ft from the dock on our private residential property at the head of the springs. This is a residential area and is very quiet.  This listing is for the SITE ONLY. Setup your own RV under the shade then enjoy our shared dock with direct access into the Homosassa springs for a refreshing dip or paddle. We provide full hookups (water, sewer, 50amp electric) for your RV as well as WIFI service and access to the docks for your boat or swimming. We have kayaks and paddleboards INCLUDED with our site or bring your own to paddle the springs and take a chance at seeing a manatee up close and personal or catching some fish. This campsite is a popular spot for its serene environment and proximity to the springs, making it a favorite for kayaking and interacting with manatees. Guests appreciate the private, peaceful setting with ample amenities, including the use of kayaks and paddle boards. However, some visitors were surprised by the location's distance from the water and found the road traffic noticeable, although it didn’t detract significantly from their experience. Overall, the site is praised for its natural beauty and accommodating hosts, making it a desirable destination for nature lovers.

Head of springs paradise for sure!
19 ft pop-up camper
A beautiful site under live oaks and very close to the water with an easy paddle over to the springs. We so enjoyed the manatee, wood ducks, and jumping fish as we paddled around. Alonda was very kind annd anttentive and even let us stay an extra hour. To be clear: The site is not right on the water and the water is not visible from the site. It is on a road on the other side of the house from the docks with neighbors around as well. The road was not a busy one at all and all the neighbors smiled and waved nicely so we didn’t mind, but were confused about this part from the listing. Would definitely stay again!

Lush and peaceful

Gorgeous, private, peaceful site on a canal near Homosassa Springs. Alondra provides kayaks which you can paddle to the springs. We found this place to seem remote, but it really isn’t. Very convenient to Publix, etc. Good central location to explore the area.

We loved staying with Alondra. This site is peaceful and beautiful with gorgeous flora. The dock area is nice and the water clear. Great location close to all the things we wanted to do. Would definitely stay here again.
