The property is 3.29 acres. Surrounded on 3 sides by thick trees. The front of the property is open and great for letting the dogs run around. The back of the property has a pond and dock fed by a creek that is great to swim in that also feeds a major bayou in Pensacola Bay. Perfect for a kayak, canoe of paddle board trip. And also has about .75 acres of thick wooded area for a great forest feel on the property. Only one 50 Amp connection but if you have a generator or are tent canping I have many locations to camp
Russell's campsite offers a charming mix of seclusion and accessibility, perfect for campers looking to enjoy nature while staying close to city conveniences. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful setting, spacious grounds, and Russell's accommodating nature. The proximity to beaches and local attractions makes it an ideal spot for exploration. However, a few guests noted the presence of some traffic noise and the creek not being as accessible as they had hoped.
It was a cool spot. Unfortunately the site I booked was not available when I arrived so I was not able to hook up. Fortunately it was not an issue because I was just sleeping for the night but was disappointed because I paid for the RV hookup spot and was only able to park and sleep because the spot was already taken. The place was really awesome and would stay there again as long as it was guaranteed the spot paid for or a discounted rate for no hookups.
Great host possibly the best place we’ve been even on top of rv resorts, good environment to have a tranquil quiet space I would come back any day of the year.
Creekside camping was ideal for my purposes…easy to find and comfy… was met by Russel on arrival and the property was as pictured… reasonable and eel located
This was a fantastic location away from all the hustle bustle but close enough to be able to enjoy all of it. We felt safe and were very pleased with our spot. Our chocolate lab was a very happy girl here, as she had plenty of space to run and a little creek close by to swim in. We had plenty of privacy and a very kind and accommodating host, Russell. We greatly enjoyed his company and he even took us for a ride in his 1927 Ford (all original) Truck!! We will definitely book with him again. Oh! And there’s an awesome thrift store that’s within walking distance, definitely a bonus!!
