Learn more about this land: Nestled under the old oak forest and longleaf pines, listen for the owls and woodpeckers. Walk the path or relax in the couch swing. Quiet, secluded, close to Gainesville yet eons away. Heartwood Soundstage, downtown Gainesville, "The Swamp" - Go Gators! and UF 1/2 hour away. Blue Springs, Ginnie Springs, Poe Springs, and Ichetucknee Springs parks all within an hour's drive. Equally close to Fanning, Manatee and Rainbow Springs. If you just need a quick getaway or a base camp for vacation explorations, this is the place for you. Enclosed dog park for off leash pups. Fenced paddocks and covered stalls available at additional cost. 2 mile dirt road leads you back into the woods and away from the noise into a paradise time forgot. RTC Tiny Theater and workshop also available at an additional cost for bands, theater, circus and dance rehearsals and performances. Self-funded residencies available.

Sculpture Garden Tent, Van, Popup

A Refreshing Retreat!

The Artists Retreat is rustic, refreshing, and radiant. Lynn and David are the perfect Hipcamp hosts. The eclectic art and memorabilia throughout the property create nostalgic vibes. The Sculpture Garden site is perfect for tent camping. The site has a light, an electrical outlet, and a fire pit with seating. It is close to the roosters, the bathroom, and the outdoor shower. The sites have a private feel amidst the tree-lined land and sky. Take a stroll on the path around the property. Count the stars at night. The property is located down a long dirt road far away from the sounds of traffic, sirens, honking, or chaos. Listen to the sounds of nature and the trees blowing in the breeze. This is a wonderful place to camp. A must if you are in the area.

Paradise in the woods!

We loved staying here so much! I walked my dogs on the trails around the property, and stopped to visit to chickens. It was so nice there, and I didn't want to leave! We explored Gainesville and Archer and there were lots of beautiful wooded parks around the area where we had picnics for lunch every day. The hosts, Lynn and David were so nice! The site has 50amp electric and water. There is a bathroom and an outdoor shower on the property. I loved using the outdoor shower, it was very private, but I could still see the sky while I took a shower. The propiis filled with trees and very peaceful. There was also a fire pit on our site.

We had a great experience in our first time camping. Lynn and David were wonderful hosts and very accommodating during our stay. My kids enjoyed learning and seeing small animals. It was so nice to enjoy nature.

Great spot

Would absolutely recommend this property. Wonderful hosts and a quiet setting. Perfect retreat after a loud and rowdy Gators game. My only advice if you're bringing in an RV is that you'll be on a unpaved road for several miles and it can be a little tight in places. Besides that, we're already looking forward to next year.

Flintstones neighbors

It was very peaceful and serene, and the hosts Lynn & Dave were very enjoyable and helpful in every way! Their land is tucked away down a dirt road away from everything. We will definitely look forward to going back.

Peaceful Retreat

Perfect place for us. Driving down the sandy road really feels as if you are getting away from everything. Which you are, But it is still close to anything you would need. All the sites are great and have their own advantages. Lynn and David were welcoming and communication was great. We, already booked a 2nd stay.
