Area 61 is a natural 5 acre property with a creek that feeds into the Peace River. We have many different types of wild life that visit including white tail deer, turkeys, alligators, otters, armadillos and all types of birds including owls. We also have access to the Peace River for canoeing and kayaking trips. Along the creek we also have several terraced waterfalls that provide a wonderful wetland area for the wildlife.

My son and I loved camping at area 61. Entire grounds were well maintained and full of beautiful views. Close enough to town to get a bite in town but far enough that you can enjoy some camping and wildlife. Joe was a great host, we will definitely be going back soon.

Beautiful and comfortable
We had a great time tent camping at Area 61. Joe was friendly and helpful, and we were able to choose from several campsites, all with a fire pit, cooking area, and bench. We saw and heard many animals and the property was gorgeous with well maintain trails. We hope to return soon!

very nice camping area, quiet, scenic, nice wildlife, etc. Small issue is that it is tight for a camper over total length of 20 feet (tow hitch to rear). I don't back trailers well also. Overall, great spot, nice host, and very nice location.

The property is very well maintained even with the recent hurricanes passing. We saw many deer wondering around which is always pleasant to see. Nice and quiet property near the Peace River. Great for a quiet weekend. Will be coming back!!

Highly Recommend
My sister and I booked Area 61 for a weekend get away. The host, Joe, was extremely accommodating, thoughtful and he is so creative and handy! He has put together a beautiful slice of paradise on his property and we are so grateful he opened it up for hipcampers to enjoy. There is a never ending supply of wildlife that visit the campers all throughout the day. The front area has swinging hammocks, an outdoor shower and all sorts of other conveniences.. including a bathroom with a sink. Thank you, Joe for such a wonderful experience. We will visit again! I wish I could give 11/10 stars for you going above and beyond as a host.
