Ashcroft Glamping offers comfortable bell tent camping in quiet Norfolk countryside, not far from the coast. You can spend days exploring beautiful beaches or watching seals at Blakeney then return to your campsite to cook dinner on the campfire as the sun goes down. Bell tents here are well kitted out so your stay is about as comfortable as bell tent camping comes – and surrounded by nature too. Plus, with just three tents sharing a two-acre meadow that’s backed by woodland, you have plenty of space to yourselves.
Each bell tent at Ashcroft Glamping can sleep up to four but works as well for couples as it does for families and there’s the option of hiring the whole place for a group of up to 12 too. Louisa and Alex, who own and run the place, have supplied proper beds and tasteful bedding in each tent, along with tables, chairs and cooking kit, so you’ll only need to bring towels. There are also shared flushing loos, showers and a little undercover kitchen unit for washing up. What’s missing is WiFi, mains electricity and reliable 4G coverage but, for those who will like it here most, that will all come as a bonus rather than a hinderance. It offers the chance to truly switch off and enjoy the outdoors.
For tips on things to do on your Norfolk holiday, you can tap straight into your hosts’ knowledge of the local area and you’re unlikely to run out of options. The beaches offer walking, wildlife watching, sandcastle building and paddling, and inland there are gardens, stately homes, nature reserves and wild swimming spots. All that’s not to mention Norfolk’s ever-growing list of family attractions (each with their own quirky take on spelling and grammar) from the magical BeWILDerwood to new creepy-crawly attraction BugzUK and the ever-popular dino-themed adventure park Roarr!
