He was very accommodating for a last minute reservation and gave my dog ample space even though he has his own.
Bring curtains because the neighbors have flood lights on all night.

The site was flat in a shady space with just enough sun to hit my solar panels. The grill, fire pit, and chairs are a homey touch. Col S was friendly and very kind. He even had the fire going when I arrived! I'll definitely be returning.🙂

Thank goodness for Wi-Fi w/ child.
Communication was very well! Very welcoming coming into the Campsite. This was perfect for my son and I. I am a full time student and homeschooling my child. Being connected with Wi-Fi was a god send and also time for Mama to relax. I was completely happy having lots of wood and grill/smoker. I will be back! If using the bathroom bring something for extra privacy. I did not have the mini tent for bathroom set up. Can’t wait to come back brew some coffee watch “Price is right”
Bob Barker Era or accomplish school work.

My husband and I stayed at Col.S's hip camp to go to an event at Mohegan Sun...which was just a short drive away. Storm was one of the kindest people we have ever met...he even brought us coffee in the morning! I highly suggest staying here if you are going to foxwoods or mohegan sun...very convenient. Our host was very helpful with letting us know about other places to check out...like some excellent nearby restaurants. I recommend checking this out! We will be back :)

Generous host’s backyard
Storm was an awesome host. He met us at the gate when we arrived, and waited patiently even when we mixed up the address. He had started a fire in the fire pit for us because we arrived after dark. He offered an extension cord from the house. When he saw that we had kayaks, he offered us to use his trailer which made a big difference for us. He also let us use his resident pass code to the private boat launch on Red Cedar Lake, right around the corner.
The camping location itself is in Storm’s backyard. The camping spot was clean, under trees and backed up to woods. We were the length of an extension cord from the house, which appeared to be undergoing construction. If you are concerned about security, you’ll love this spot because the property is gated and there are lights and a camera on the house. Some distance away within sight at the opposite corner of the yard there was a family who appeared to be living longer term in an RV.
The fishing in Red Cedar Lake was awesome! My son and I caught over six fish each day, plenty for dinner. No need to bring bait - we scooped up fistfuls of earthworms from under the leaves along the edge of the woods behind us.
Within a five minute drive there were two farms selling eggs. Storm told us that on Fridays there’s also a full farmers market nearby.
