Zenzen Gardens is now the official tasting room for Alfred Eames Cellars, a local winery located 3 miles south of Paonia. Come enjoy some local wines in the garden with a beautiful mountain view. Our tasting room is open May to October from 12 PM - 6 PM.
Every Thursday evening, from June to October, we host Tapas events from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM, featuring our local guest chef. Please note that there will be no Tapas events in August due to our Pickin' in the Park festivities!
The property is also a music venue with two performance sites in the barn and a stage by the pond. We also offer farm-to-table dinners throughout the summer, and tapas on Thursdays. Check out our calendar for concerts and dinner dates at www.zenzengardens.com
There is veranda seating to enjoy the beautiful flower gardens and where you can access the internet.
At the turn of the century, this farm was a dairy operation with its huge old red barn built in the 1880's. The property is pastoral, relaxing, rural and beautiful! It is surrounded by hay and alfalfa fields. It is very quiet with wide open spaces. You might see deer, fox, Golden Eagles, Bald Eagles, Red Tail Hawks and Red Wing Blackbirds, just to name a few.
ZenZen Gardens offers a tranquil retreat with beautiful landscapes and a warm welcome from host Cindie. Guests appreciate the relaxed atmosphere, the charm of glamping tents, and the delightful addition of wine tasting on the veranda. Some campers noted the heat in the tents during hot afternoons and the presence of roaming dogs on the property. Overall, the peaceful surroundings and stunning views make it a favorite spot for those looking to unwind and enjoy nature.
I enjoyed the peace and quiet with the surrounding mountains. I highly recommend to anyone wanting a nice beautiful place to camp for the night or for a few days.
We loved staying Cindie's place! The tent was awesome, plenty of room for us and our things, bed was very comfortable. Loved having coffee in the tent in the morning. The property was serene with tons of beautiful gardens and a wrap around veranda that we sat on all afternoon and drank wine as the sun set. We only stayed one night but it was a truly amazing experience. Cindie is top notch host and her wine tasting of a neighboring producer was so fun and inviting. Thank you for being such a gracious host and for sharing your property. We would love to go back!
I really enjoyed this hidden gem in the mountains. It definitely lived up to its name of “zen”. I meditated here in the morning and it was surreal. I felt safe, comfortable, and overall just a lovely experience!
I parked here for one night in a Sprinter. HipCamp is an open gravel parking lot used for their winery, so you basically just park wherever you want (right side is flatter). Two portajohns provided near the parking lot. Can buy wine there too. Never met the host, though I wish I had (be good to learn the history of the place).
