In the 1990's a ranchland section (640 Acres) was divided into 60+ acre small prairie farm properties.. Purchasing this pristine, untouched land in early 2000, we built our farm style home in 2004. Living where there are more hawks and pronghorn than people, this quiet prairie setting is a delightful home. WyndyRidge is aptly named for the almost constant breeze. For traveling estimates, our property is 1 hour from Parker, CO; 1 hour from Castle Rock, CO; 1 hour from Bennet, CO; 1 1/2 hour from many destinations in Colorado Springs, CO.

Peak Prairie Camping
Car camping here was really easy and straightforward, and even at night it was easy to find the site thanks to some good markings. As the name implies, it is windy here, so bring extra layers in the colder months. The surrounding landscape was really pretty! Also, light pollution here is very low (~Bortle 3), though the seeing wasnt great when I went (not anyone's fault though). Only downside was the dogs nearby bark a lot, though they did calm down a bit after dark.

Nice, clean venue. Directions from Brenda were perfect - make sure you have them saved- cell reception is spotty. Quiet, beautiful sunrise.

Great!
Great spot! Nice and communicative host. Lots of space and a table available. The view is like that old-school windows background, with the rolling plains! I felt very safe.

Great stay
Great place to layover heading east from Denver. Comnucatiln was good, directions were good. Water and electric worked well.

Relaxing
Very nice spot to camp. Stayed one night and had a great time relaxing watching the storm clouds roll by. Will definitely stay again.
