Full RV hookups
Electrical, water, and sewage hookups are available at select sites.
Overnight, Seasonal, and Extended Stay Camping, we are open year-round. We have 30/50amp sites (shade and partial shade) around our lake, 20 amp in the "upper campground," and dry camping (full facilities) along the Arkansas River (Gold Medal fishing) with access for all campers for fishing and floating. Many of our sites are great for star-gazing, watching meteors, looking for fireflies, and seeing the birds zip on by. We are conveniently located on Hwy 50, in Bighorn Sheep Canyon, and have all sorts of rental options for your outdoor adventure needs. Whether you want to pitch a tent, try out the glamping experience, enjoy the convenience of an RV, or rent one of our fully equipped RVs, we have the perfect spot for you. We have four entrances marked by sail flags into the campground, two by the lake, one near the bathhouse, and one by the post office (on our property). The map of the Arkansas River has our campground listed! Adventure awaits with home to the highest mountain peaks in Colorado and the river and 102 miles of Trout Gold Medal Water. There is access to white water rafting, guided fishing, and fishing lessons. There are at least 5 hot springs within 60 miles of Twin Bridges Campground. Salida is considered the white-water rafting capitol of the US by some and has a whitewater park and surfing wave. Salida area is also home to a ton of hiking (14'ers anyone?) and mountain biking trails. The Royal Gorge is a quick 30 minute drive with restaurants and other fun near Canon City. The Sand Dunes are 90 minutes and Monarch Ski Area is 45, we have some of the best bird watching! Warbling Vireo, Western Wood-peewee, Cassin's Kingbird to name a few.

Hummingbird: river/creek/birds
Our spot , the Hummingbird Camp, was right on the Arkansas River and perfect for our first fishing trip with my 10 yr old grandson. It felt private and secluded even though it is just off the fairly busy highway. Having access to an actual bathroom with showers was a bonus!

Monarch Butterfly/easy in and out
Colorado Dutch
Established campground under new ownership. Host/owner, Patricia, personally welcomed us and was very helpful. A bigger, bold and colorful sign that has the campground name on it would make it easier to locate. The sites could be mowed and marked a little better. We pulled into what we thought was the correct space and it wasn’t. Patricia was very nice and let us stay where we were. She provided a gas fire pit, but we didn’t use it. We did catch a fish from the river and would have fished longer but mosquitoes pushed us away. Mowing the weeds where you walk to get to the river would look great. We didn’t use the bathroom or showers so we have no comments. It is close to the highway so you can hear the traffic. It obviously gets quiet at night and busier during the day.

Pop up camping
We had a great time camping in our pop up camper at twin bridges campground. It is so beautiful! Our camp site was right next to the river which was amazing. It is close to the highway so there is some traffic noise but the sound from the river helped. Patrica and Mike have done a lot to the property in such a short time, they have cleared trees, remodeled the bathrooms and have installed 30 amp electrical at a few of the camp sites. They are planning on doing even more improvements. We will be back for sure again soon. There were a lot of mosquitoes the first night we camped so make sure you bring off spray.

Dragonfly river/easy in and out
We loved camping here!! The site was exactly what we were looking for! Patricia was helpful and accommodating! The bathrooms were well maintained and clean. The road noise wasn’t too noticeable, it quiets down quickly at night and the running river is all we heard. 🩷

Improvements being made
We stayed in the large fixed RV for 2 nights and enjoyed it. Patricia has only owned the property for about a year so there were some improvements underway (ditches for new electrical poles at each site, newly established level campsites) and these will be nice when she’s done. However, the extra work has limited her time to care for the overall upkeep of the property at present (mowing, debris) but I’m confident when she’s finished the camp will be very nice. Regardless, we’d stay again if it fits our plans.

Great, spacious campsite!
My family and I had an excellent stay at the Twin Bridges Campground over 4th of July weekend. We had the Brown Trout site which was very spacious and fully shaded. It is right off of a busy highway so you do hear the traffic noise at night, but it really didn't bother any of us. You also get great 360 views of the mountains and can hear and see the Arkansas River flowing right behind the lake. Patricia was very attentive to our needs and made sure we were comfortable and taken care of the whole trip. We would definitely stay here again!
