Camp alongside the Arkansas River in Bighorn Sheep Canyon, April-November. We accommodate tents, vans, smaller Class C motor homes or camping trailers under 30 feet. Multiple campers and tents are provided based on your camping or glamping needs. Restrooms and showers are easily accessible. We also have camping by our lake with easy access to the river. We offer fly fishing on our 1,000 feet of riverfront property, (no lures, treble hook, or "bait" of any kind). Catch and release on property grounds. Colorado fishing licenses are required for anyone over the age of 16. No fishing is allowed on the small lake on the property. Fly fishing lessons and guided tours for fishing the Arkansas River from a raft or walk-wade, along with white water rafting, horseback riding, or zipline adventures which can be arranged by our staff. Adventure awaits with home to the highest mountain peaks in Colorado and the river and 102 miles of Trout Gold Medal Water. There are at least 5 hot springs within 60 miles of Twin Bridges Campground. Salida is considered the white-water rafting capitol of the US by some and has a whitewater park and surfing wave. Salida area is also home to a ton of hiking (14'ers anyone?) and mountain biking trails. The Royal Gorge is a quick 30 minute drive with restaurants and other fun near Canon City. The Sand Dunes are 90 minutes and Monarch Ski Area is 45.

Cooper's Hawk, river and stars
Arkansas River Valley Paradise!
Cooper's Hawk at Twin Bridges offers both privacy and convenient access to Hwy 50 for exploring the Arkansas River, Salida, and the San Luis Valley. Campsites are large, flat, and well appointed with solid picnic tables, propane fire rings, porta potty, and ample parking. Modern shower house with flush toilets and sink was a major bonus! Patricia and Mike are generous hosts who offered great recommendations for area gems including Sand Dunes Recreation in Hooper (northern San Luis Valley), featuring artesian hot spring pools and a 21+ Greenhouse bar and restaurant.

Brown Trout, lake with river access
My family of 4; wife, 7 yo son & dog had a great time at Twin Bridges Campground! We absolutely loved the Brown Trout spot! Secluded from the other campers with a great view of their trout pond. From the spot you can hear the sounds of the Arkansas river! As it is just on the other side of the pond! Beautiful mature trees added some great shade, as well as home to many forms of wildlife. We were able to see plenty of birds including an eagle, squirrels, chipmunks, a fox as well as our favorite part of the whole trip, fireflies. Employee Mike made us feel so welcomed as soon as we arrived, showing us to our spot pointing out where everything is and making sure we had everything we needed! (Thanks for the extension cord mike!!). We also were able to chat to him throughout our stay as he was usually around working on the property. We can’t wait to return!

Pleasant stay along the Arkansas
We Tent camped and enjoyed our stay. Drive to Salida isn’t far if you want to get some time in town. Appreciated the access to bathrooms/showers after 9am. Overall a very pleasant stay. Would camp here again
