5th generation, 600 Acre working farm, with two miles of the La Plata River running through it and spectacular views of the La Plata Mountains and Sleeping Ute Mountain. You will find a wide variety of vegetation and wildlife; Southwest Sage, Cactus, Ponderosa, Pinion, and Pine trees, Mule Deer, Turkey, Fox, Rabbits, Bald Eagles, and Red Tail Hawks to name a few. Learn more about this land: 600 Acre working farm, with two miles of the La Plata River running through it and spectacular views of the La Plata Mountains and Sleeping Ute Mountain. You will find a wide variety of vegetation and wildlife (Southwest Sage, Cactus, Ponderosa, Pinion, and Pine trees, Mule Deer, Turkey, Fox, Rabbits, Bald Eagles, and Red Tail Hawks to name a few) . Guests are encouraged to explore this beautiful piece of the southwest. The Farm is located just 12 miles from La Plata Canyon, 15 miles from Durango, 15 miles from Lake Nighthorse, and 35 miles from Mesa Verde National Park. There is one large campground that can hold up to 5 RV's and 1 secluded tent small camper site to choose from. Guest are welcome to purchase vegetables and fresh farm eggs.

Site 1 - Tranquility @ The Farm

Close to Durango and trails

This was a great location and find for our late arrival into Durango, which is only 25-30 minutes away. Erin was very welcoming and guided us to our camp site which was perfect for our truck camper. The space was setup with a fire pit, picnic table and trash bin. The area was clean and spacious for tent, car of RV setup. Thank you Erin for your hospitality!

Awesome camp!

Tranquility indeed! Sweet little spot not far off the blacktop. Working ranch. Turkey, deer and a small docile herd of cows. Erin greeted us with a gift from her garden and the site was clean with ample firewood. You will hear some distant road noise but we didn’t see another soul. In beautiful, crowded Southern Colorado it was a great sanctuary. Nice firepit, picnic table, shovel, trash can, electric, non-potable water.

Getaway with pups

Erin’s land was so quiet and peaceful for the night that we stayed there. My pups loved being able to run around and wore themselves out and were ready for bed as soon as the sun set.

We had an incredible Labor Day weekend getaway at Erin's beautiful hipcamp! The weather was wonderful, the spot was peaceful and full of wildlife. We got to see Turkey, bats, birds we had never seen before and Turkey vultures! Thanks for the wonderful weekend! We will be back someday for sure!
