This 1960's cattle camp is a special family treasure and is the perfect mountain cabin retreat. Nestled in the San Juan National Forest it was originally built to shelter cowboys as they drove their herds to and from mountain pasture. This cute little cabin offers a blast back to the past with some modern amenities. Located next to the Joe Moore Reservoir & Chicken Creek Trailhead it offers a variety of recreational activities. Comfy Cozy Cabin

With pets

Lloyd’s cabin is equipped with everything you need to have a fantastic & comfortable stay. The outdoor shower was an absolute hit! The kids loved wandering into the woods in the late afternoon to hunt for “treasures”. It’s perfectly located for fun adventures to lakes, rivers and ruins. We are definitely planning a trip back soon!

Awesome cabin with shower!

I can’t understand why this cabin isn’t booked solid 3 months in advance, it’s great and we’ll start planning a longer trip next summer to stay there again as soon as we get home. If you’re looking for a 5 star resort experience, this isn’t it. But if you want a warm cabin with a hot shower without neighbors right up against you and like cooking in an outdoor kitchen, then this the cabin for you.

Lloyd’s cabin is lovely I can’t wait to come back. Beautiful spot in the woods and the cabin has literally everything you need I would highly recommend
