Tater's was voted a 2024 top runner up as 'Best Hipcamp in Colorado'. 35 acres of bliss shared with 2 humans, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 3 horses and 4 chickens [Eggs may be available upon request]. Black Canyon National Park is a short drive to the west. Conveniently located to Crawford and the North Fork Valley to wineries, music fests and local eateries.  Incredible views and dark skies make the perfect respite for just hanging out, climbing in the Black, foodie time in the North Fork Valley or pretty much whatever you like to do. Hunters are welcome as this is a perfect base camp to Unit 63.

Camping with a view!
I loved this camping site! The views were absolutely stunning and even though I was secluded and private I did not totally feel alone because of the small town action far off in the distance down the mountain. The showers and bathroom were nice and new

Loved camping here so much in the spring that I had to come back in the summer. The views are incredible and the hosts are great (especially Tater). Everything about this place is spectacular!

Amazing site! The view from this site can't be beat, and the bathhouse was clean and well built. The reservoir is about a 5 minute drive from the site, and was the perfect place to have a sunset kayak ride (The state park has self-serve kayak rentals available, if you have service). Would definitely stay again!

Site 4 - Tater's Black Canyon
Best Camping in CO!
This was one of the best camping experiences we’ve had (and we have camped all around North America). The hosts were great, the site was well cared for, the weather and views were spectacular. The bathhouse is also perfectly clean and accommodating. A bonus: one morning while we were making coffee a family of Mule Deer walked right through camp (about 15 feet away from us). Really can’t recommend this place highly enough: we will be back!
