Rollinsville Adventure Camp is a 5 acre slice of the Rocky Mountains, perched at approximately 9,000 feet above sea level, in the shadow of the nearby Continental divide. The property features towering pine trees, beautiful aspens, and is surrounded by national forest on all sides. The campsites are all located within the safe confines of a gated, five foot fence that surrounds the property. The property once served as a Llama Ranch. We have repurposed the old llama loafing shed into a common area/ lounge area where any guests are welcome to make use of the space, which includes a 2 burner gas camp stove, a refrigerator, and a propane gas bbq grill.  There is also a gas fire pit on the patio at the Llama Lounge for guests to enjoy, as well as a hammock, hanging hammock chair, and a picnic table for guests to utilize while enjoying the common space of the Llama Lounge.

Site 1 - Rollinsville Adventure Camp
Beautiful place right by the national forest with a gate that opens up to trails! Loved having access to a propane BBQ grill too, made food prep a cinch! That being said, none of the spots are really totally level. Thankfully the host Edward was gracious about letting me switch from site 1 to 5 which made a difference but I still was slipping down my tent from the angle throughout the night. Also when I was out for a walk on the trail the dog got into my trash as well as the common trash and I had to clean up after the mess ;/

Site 3 - Rollinsville Adventure Camp
This was a cute and convenient place to stay for a quick getaway. Good directions, well maintained, and nice little amenities like a grill, hammocks, picnic table. The campsites are pretty close together so if you want a lot of privacy may not be your spot, but would be great for a group trip or if you don’t care. Trails right nearby too!

Site 1 - Rollinsville Adventure Camp
My husband and I loved our stay at the adventure camp. Site 4 fit our 19’ sprinter van perfectly. We got in pretty late so waking up to the surrounding trees was a beautiful treat. This would be an awesome spot to have a group camping trip with multiple tents. Edward was very kind, communicative, and even helped ease my anxiety about the drive out from Georgetown in the dark. Super clean porta potty as well!! Will definitely be back next time we’re in town.

Site 2 - Rollinsville Adventure Camp
Sweet, rugged location adjacent to national forest. Port a potty was clean and had a wee night light that was just right. Loved the idea that the gate and perimeter fence kept the moose (and maybe even bears) out. Our host came out to help us with the gate as we arrived and was very helpful.

Fantastic stay!
The second you arrive at the site, it is clear that Ed is taking great pride in hosting Hipcampers. The camp sites are clearly marked and the common area is well appointed and included a gas grill, Coleman stove, gas fire pit, lights, and even a refrigerator! What a relief not having to cook out of your car or tent while staying here. It was impeccably clean and well taken care of (from the on-site toilet to the garbage bins). We also did get to meet the loving host dogs of the property and both ladies were incredibly sweet. 11/10 would stay here again. What a great jump-off point for your next Colorado adventure.
