Spent an amazing stormy night on the plains! The scenery was beautiful, and I felt safe. It's a little overgrown with the weather being so fantastic, but no problems finding the spot. Highly recommend!

This was a great spot for our one night stay! Very clean and amazing views! While you could hear a little road noise, it was overall very peaceful and we liked that it was only a quick drive off the main highway we were passing through on. The sunset/sunrise was so beautiful and got a clear night with all the stars.

Had a little trouble finding it, but got there. Great flat spot with fire ring. No services but incredible stars. Really got chilly the next morning. Got down to low 40’s, but made for great sleeping.
Joyful Journey Hot Springs are 1/2 mile away. Great deal to soak for the evening at $18.

New favorite spot in Colorado!
Tent
I was really impressed with this spot!!! It is very private, has some of the best views and the fire pit with firewood was an awesome touch! Even better the brush is cleared away in a huge radius from the fire so fire safety is much easier to manage.
The roads getting to there are dirt but very flat and well maintained. I’m in a low Prius with terrible tires and still had no issues! There is a sketchy looking junkyard as you turn on David’s road but I didn’t even see lights coming from it at night. Felt very safe. David was also very responsive and there is enough reception to get help if you need it.
Keep in mind, there are no toilets but frankly port-a-potties are an eye sore and stink so I’m actually kind of thankful. This is definitely my new favorite spot especially since it’s always a challenge finding spots in Colorado that have amazing views but also enough privacy!

This was just what we needed, plenty of privacy and no highway noise. Property was easy to access with our 40 foot motorhome. Neighbors were far enough away we were able to let our dogs roam. We enjoyed the hot springs and Sand Dunes National Park. So much to do close by and everyone in the Valley was super nice!! Also, the host was very responsive with questions.
