We are so excited to have you! Please come enjoy the quiet relaxation on our 80 acre piece of paradise! Located 2.5 miles from the famous Paint Mines Interpretive Park and Trails and 4 miles from the El Paso County Fairgrounds that hold many events all summer long. The town of Calhan is just 4 miles north of this property. There, you will find the local grocery store, restaurants, gas stations, and dollar store for any of your needs. Enjoy seclusion and beautiful views of the rolling hillside and wildlife all while being sheltered amongst our mature trees. All of our campsites are tucked in the trees to give you privacy and shelter from the Colorado breeze. Bring your bikes and ride to the paint mines or explore the property on our trails and stay close. We have the best tasting well water so feel free to fill up your water jugs at the hydrant closest to the chicken coops!! Come see our dream in the works and soak up some serenity! Dogs are welcome, however they must be dog friendly, trained and well behaved. They are free to roam but chasing calves and causing trouble with other animals will not be tolerated. We also have dogs, but will do our best to have them put up when you arrive with adequate communication about you ETA . No bathroom facilities at the moment. Also, no fires unless approved by us! When you arrive, we will happily check you in and direct you to your camp site. Please feel free to ask us about anything you may need, but we will not bother you otherwise! We hope to see you soon! Easy to find and so close to the Painted Mines. It is a lovely serene prairie location. The stars were amazing. Host was genuinely friendly. Would stay there again.

Great piece of land for camping! Even with high winds the tree line offers good coverage. Would definitely stay again and its only 5 minutes from the paint mines. Also the host is friendly and quick to respond to any questions.

Peaceful, Private Getaway
Host was very communicative, and provided helpful instructions and signage so I could easily find my site where I was arriving so late. The spot was beautiful, private, and peaceful. Super close to The Paint Mines. I had a great stay and would highly recommend! Thanks Jamie

Adventure on the Colorado Plains
Jaime's place has character and is very close to the absolutely stunning paint mines. A highlight for me were the nearby windmills—at night I could hear the blades gently whooshing, and while gazing up at the starry skies it created a hypnotic effect. It's relatively open land so in the quiet of night you can hear far away faint sounds which added to the surreal experience. Her beautiful rooster helped me seize the day which I appreciated.

Jaime's land was quiet, private, and spacious. We really enjoyed our campfire under the very starry night sky. And Jaime was prompt and easy to communicate with. We had a great stay!
