The cabin is very nice and cozy, walking distance from the lake and a restaurant / general store. I would recommend bringing your own pillow, the bed upstairs has good pillows but the bunk bed pillows are a little flat. Bring lighter fluid for the charcoal grill, but other than that this cabin has everything and if you need something the host assistance will be there to help!! Unforchantly then though the site says no smoking the cabin and sheets smelt like smoke.

We had a wonderful stay! The cabin is located on a scenic byway, easy to locate, and a quick walk to Lake Isabel. Has all the amenities you can think of. I definitely recommend this place to anyone needing to disconnect and relax in a beautiful and comfortable setting.

This cabin is such a gem! We had a great time celebrating Thanksgiving here. Lake Isabel is just steps from the cabin and you can walk around the small lake. We also checked out Bishop's Castle about 6 miles from the cabin. If you stay at this cabin, make sure you don't miss Bishop's Castle! The day after Thanksgiving we headed to the Sangre de Cristo mountains to hike Humboldt. It was about an hour and a half drive from the cabin so it's a good jumping off point.

What a great spot! Right across the road from beautiful Lake Isabel, with so much hiking nearby! It's also a great jumping off point for many day adventures. The cabin itself is quite roomy and beautifully decorated. Plenty of space, cozy atmosphere, and lots of amenities! The Host, Damian, is extremely responsive and helpful in providing a detailed guide on things to do in the area, directions, etc. Can't wait to come back. :)

The Modern San Isabel Cabin was a dream to stay in. This place is so wonderfully cozy and well-equipped. My friends and I stayed after a fresh snow fall and we felt so at peace and serene surrounded by pine trees covered in white. The host sent along a wonderful, informative PDF with all the rules as well as suggestions for shopping, eating, and recreation nearby. The cabin is a stone's throw from Lake Isabel, which in the summer looks to be a great source of activity and fun. I can't recommend this cabin enough! If you're looking for a modern place to stay for some peace and quiet in the mountains and National Forest, this is definitely a must.
